DesteniCult: What are you afraid of?

You know, its fascinating when I look at those who are participating in the Desteni Process. Within this process we have people sharing themselves and their experiences in this world. Standing up within the system to actually examine themselves and what we have all be accepting and allowing. Its truly fascinating that this is even possible. That a bunch of robots programmed to just consume and survive would be able and willing to question everything and to actually step outside their programming. What courage that takes to be willing to become the directive point of one's life when following is all that one has known.

And yet you have those who are still stuck deep within their own pre-programming to the level where they have yet to see that there is more to themselves than just a system of pre-programmed thoughts and feelings. That there is a spark of Life shining in the deep down which is more valuable than any thought, feeling, emotion, or experience. It is that spark of Life that we all share which is our Equality. It is that spark which when recognized enables one to stand up and take back the power and the responsibility that one had left to a system that was never meant to actually support Life.

And to those who would say that the Desteni Process is about conformity and strips one of their individuality - well, that is funny actually, because in the system currently there is no individuality. Look at how the system punishes those who show any true individuality - anyone who dares to standup to the power structures. No, in the system the only individuality that is permitted is that which stands as a symbol for others to follow and which therefore MAKES MONEY. Freedom and individuality in the system means freedom to choose between a limited number of products and individuality means to have the right to an opinion about which product and lifestyle suits you best. But that is all programmed. There are no real choices. There are no real freedoms in a world where money dictates who eats and who starves (see: Starvation is not about food.) There is no choice in a world where economies are built out of debt that can never be repaid and thus future generations of children's lives are placed as the collateral to build new sports stadiums and other forms of entertainment designed to distract one from the LONG CON which is of course the consciousness that so many hold up as the light of the world.

Where has this consciousness gotten us? It is the very same consciousness that we use to justify our abuse of animals - that we follow to the ends of the earth - never questioning the voice inside our heads that we created we put there long ago.

Yes its fascinating when I hear people call Desteni a cult. As if those who participate are just looking for another group to fit into and do that by challenging everything they have ever known. Of course it would be easier to just 'go with the flow' but then what would be the point of being alive? Desteni is Here to remind us and to assist us to see that we are actually fucking ourselves over every moment that we do not consider what is physically here - every moment we choose to instead focus on our own little bubbles which are only sustained through the mass manipulation, abuse, torture, and exploitation of billions and billions of other humans, animals, plants, and all the beings that are here that we choose to ignore because we don't recognize Life anymore.

The thing is - I can see that people are just afraid (see: Self Image and Fear of Others.) We actually believe that if we don't focus on our little bubbles we will cease to exist. I know because I have been through that fear. It is that fear that speaks up and says that I don't have time to write - that I don't have the courage to speak up - that I would rather just go back to sleep. But that fear is not real - it is just a voice. I believed it at one time and as I listened the voice got louder - so now it shouts and drowns out everythng at times - but then there is another voice which I doesn't come as a sound, but rather as a movement - it comes when I see that the voice makes no sense and that when I listen to my fears I am only harming myself. That is my self-honesty. That is when I take back the power that I had abdicated and separated from myself and I say no more - I will not allow myself to continue to lie to myself - What is the point? How can I sit and pretend that everything in this world is ok? It is only through deliberately blinding myself and entertaining myself and ACTIVELY SEEKING out ways to distract myself - but that never lasts. Because illusions are never real. And the consequences that I create in the physical always catch up sooner or later.

And that is what this entire world is facing. Everyday we hear the media and the government and the corporations and our neighbors and the churches - everyone telling us that the world will never change that it can't change - that people can't change - that human nature is evil and that only some magical being can save us all - but that is just FEAR TALKING. The consequences are undeniably catching up as we hear about more oil spills, more revolutions, more random grisly murders, and more war, starvation, and disaster.

We can change - we are more powerful than we think. We created this mess. Is that placing blame? Or is it accepting responsibility and thereby giving ourselves back the power that we gave away?

We cannot blame the government, religion, the media, the economy, or our education (see Education and Equal Money.) We created these things. The solution is for us to stand up together as humanity to direct these points that we have allowed to act for us. We have to insist and ensure that the systems on this planet that act on our behalf reflect what is in our hearts - and if we have to change the content of our hearts so that we actually begin to care about ourselves and each for real then so be it. But let's do it - let's not make excuses. Let us not blame anyone but rather forgive ourselves and each other and work together to make this world a place where we would like to have been born into.

2012 from Oh My Guru! meditating on Buddha

Going back to Buddha's words, he implies that hate is something that exists in itself apart from the human being, as if it is something that just exists and thus we must actively love to extinguish it. By accepting this premise, one then accepts that the system we live in is unchangeable and that we are not ultimately responsible for how it operates only that we must do our best to be loving people as individuals. But that never solves the problem. Because from that perspective we allow that hate is allowed to exist in the first place, and thus Life becomes some strange game of simply trying to balance the positives with negatives - which means obviously that we will accept the money system as it is - that it is ok for debt to exist and that we must simply do our best to pay back our debts.

Excerpt: In some areas, Leary's message was effective in showing that one should not simply accept the reality that one is born into and that one should question why things are the way they are, for example, the power structures that we accept and the fear and hate that exists in this world. And yet, Leary never went beyond to offer or support any solution that can work for everyone Equally.

Any solution that does not work for everyone Equally is by definition not Best for All and any solution that does not change the system to one that benefits everyone Equally is therefore not a valid solution.

2012 Why I was able to Hear the Desteni Message

When I came across my first Desteni video in 2008 I had already been on a search for 3 years. The search started after I broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years and dropped out of college. I had for sometime before then been wondering what the 'purpose of life was' and I had also started to use alcohol and other drugs quite extensively. It's hard for me to pinpoint the exact moment that began to question my purpose in life, but I remember during that time, I had started to think about what happens when I die and then only thing I could reasonably believe is that I would simply cease to exist. After thinking this, I became first scared, while I tried to imagine what it would be like the moment I no longer existed and I simply couldn't accept it (see The Design of Fearing your own Fear). I then became very depressed as I saw no way around the fact. When I was alone I felt lonely. When I was with others I felt 'crowded'. Everything seemed surreal and I continually got into extensive arguments with my then girlfriend which usually ended with me calling her stupid and her crying. I had stopped attending class, and daily I experienced anxiety towards not keeping up with my school work and towards not being able to pay my rent or bills. I had basically begun to check out of reality - to completely neglect my responsibilities and to turn completely inwards to search for something that would make me feel happy. You could say that I was beginning my 'pursuit of happiness' which was my constitutional right as an American - LOL (see: Freedom of Choice and Equal Money for further perspective).

So I began reading like never before. I probably read over 100 books in a 1 year period. I read everything from religious texts (Vedanta, Buddhism, Christianity) to science (studies on the nature of consciousness, quantum mechanics, etc) to everything in between (astral projection, meditation, philosophy, the occult, you name it). Everything that I could get a little obsessed about that seemed to make reality or at least some aspect of seem better than what I was experiencing would suffice as far as I was concerned. At that time I also began to record music on a daily basis. I created a myth for myself that I was an artist who had discovered my inner genius and that I was destined to express myself and everyone would praise me. I believed that I would also become some kind of savior who would show fix the problems of this world and most importantly I would learn how to end suffering.

And I began this search believing that the answer lay somewhere out there in some book or some teacher whom I could follow and that would ultimately end with me finding some answer to why I never felt happy and why never felt like I 'fit in'.

This searching led me to investigate things that I would have laughed at a year before. I read about Aleister Crowley and magick. I read about Ken Wilber and his Integral Theory. I read about Timothy Leary, Terrence McKenna, and Robert Anton Wilson and their attempts to find some truth through the use of psychedelic drugs. I read about channeling and tried to find the wisdom apparently communicated from beings from another Dimension. But each time I got into something I found that there was something missing. I couldn't put my finger on it, nor did I care to, but I would move onto something else that sparked my curiosity.

See, I though I was searching for an answer, but I was really just moving from one form of excitement to another. As soon as one would fade I would convince myself that the answer did not lie there and I would search for another answer. It wasn't until I got to the point where nothing I tried, not music, not reading, not drugs, nothing could provide any excitement for me any more. And I was simply left with the original dread that I felt in the beginning of my search.

Then one day I while searching for videos about the Annunaki, I saw a video from Desteni giving perspective on aliens. The message was not quite what I was 'looking for' and yet it was in fact the answer to my search. I had searched and found that nothing would make me happy. And Desteni was simply explaining why this was the case. I had seen for myself, through first-hand experience, the consequence of only focusing on myself, only caring about myself and how I feel, of acting from the starting point of simply trying to make myself feel better. Desteni was Here showing me that not only did this not make sense, but that it was this very starting point that was in fact creating and manifesting the suffering in this world (see: Culture and Religion vs Self-Responsibility and ). Not only the mental anguish that I was going through but even starvation, murder, war, and all the suffering that I as an American only ever read about or heard about on the news (see: Starvation is not about Food.) From that first video I started to see how the ideas and beliefs that I had accepted about myself were not real and yet how by believing in them and following them as if they were, I had created a fantasy world inside my head where I was completely disregarding the physical reality that I actually live in.

Getting to a point of utter despair within myself as a consequence of ignoring reality is what made it easy for me to hear the Desteni Message. For me, I had to completely screw up my world and alienate everyone I had 'cared about' - not as a result of hearing Desteni but as a result of not realizing the obviousness of what Desteni are presenting. Not seeing that I am in fact responsible for not only 'my life' but for everything in fact. That by accepting my own happiness as the 'purpose of life' and thereby accepting that everyone else has the same 'right' that I was in fact condemning myself and everyone else to a world where no one cares about each other and to a world where everyone is competing and abusing each other - all in the name of happiness and freedom (see: Game Theory). I don't know what it will take for the rest of the world to hear Desteni. It would be cool if the whole world didn't have to collapse before enough people are willing to listen to make a change in this world, but that is up to you.

2011 Who decides how I feel?

I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
~ Maya Angelou

This statement implies that one is able to make another person feel something. Is this self-honest though? If I say a word - Stalin, for example, and you feel bad - is it self-honest to say that I made you feel bad? No, it is not. All I have done is said a word and you have reacted based on the way you have defined the word 'Stalin' for yourself. The word Stalin, is neither good nor bad, and it simply refers to an historical person. How you feel about the word depends completely on your judgment of the word, or in this case the person, which again is based on your self-definition of the word. Obviously you can accept the definitions of others and then react to the word accordingly, however in the end, you are still the one who is accepting the definition. If you did not accept the definition then you would not have the reaction.

So, if you, for example, read a poem and feel a sense of peace or happiness, is it the poem or even the poet who has made you feel this way? Imagine if a person who did not understand the language the poem was written in were to read it, they would surely not feel the same way you did. They may even feel bored or annoyed - would it make sense for them to say that the poem or poet made them feel bored?

When I was in college I took an interest in art, especially painting. I would visit art collections and observe the paintings and drawings for hours. I remember, before taking an art appreciation class, having no interest in art. But one of the things we were taught was to be able to recognize what the different forms and symbols and colors meant in art and what feelings or ideas they were meant to evoke in the person observing them. Thus the artist will create a painting to make someone feel a certain way. And yet there are plenty of people who will look at a painting and not see or feel anything towards it. Art snobs will say that they person has no appreciation, which means that they have not learned to accept certain forms and color combinations as evoking feelings and emotions. See you have to actually train yourself to be able to do this. The more time you spend practicing, the more you will feel.

This same thing happens when we 'fall in love.' At first you see a person who is a complete stranger. Then they possess some attribute that you have defined as 'pleasant' or 'attractive' and then you 'become attracted' to them. We start thinking about the person, focusing on the attributes that give us good feelings - we pay no attention, nor do we look for the ones that give us negative feelings. We then say that this person makes us feel a certain way. We 'feel loved'. They 'make us feel happy.' And we completely ignore the fact that we are actually making ourselves feel happy by participating in the feelings of happiness. I'm sure you can recall a person or thing that at one time 'made you feel happy' but no longer has that affect. What happened there? It's funny because we participate in these things without fully understanding what we are getting in to.

See, a feeling is based on energy (a polarity design). Just like when you charge up your cell phone, the energy eventually dies out. Feelings are the same way. We make a choice to participate in them, for example when you fall in love, and then eventually the feeling fades. We might make attempts to 'rekindle' the feeling - but it is never the same as the first moment. Then when the feeling does fade, we blame the other person, we start looking for all their faults, their weaknesses - trying to find a justification to be done with them. We might say that they no longer make us feel the same way, or even that they now make us feel bad. But the truth is that we have done it to ourselves. We could simply have never participated in the feeling in the first place.

So going back to the example of using words to make someone feel bad. If I say to someone who is feeling happy that it is not right to feel happy in a world where so many suffer, especially when the way one feel happy is to use money in a way that supports the continued suffering of everyone else, and that person, hearing the common sense in the statement, is no longer able to keep up their blissful ignorance and their happiness starts to turn into guilt and shame - have I made them feel bad? Obviously they have done it to themselves. If their happiness were real, why would it be changed or diminished by anything I say?

Many people react this way when confronted with common sense from Destonians - they say we are being negative, that we are trying to bring them down, that we are trying to make them feel bad. This is not possible though - one cannot make another person feel something, unless that person already accepts the feeling as something that defines them.

Now it may seem like a contradiction, in that I am saying one cannot make someone feel something and yet I am saying that we can cause others to suffer. Here we have to distinguish between emotional feeling and physical feeling. The pain that we inflict on others physically is due to the way we have structured the physical reality due to our participation in the mind as feelings and emotions. It is one thing to participate in an energetic feeling whereas it is another thing to experience physical pain. Physical pain indicates that there is a dysfunction physically - that something is not ordered properly in a way that supports you physically. When someone feels the pain of starvation - this is due to our collective acceptance of a system where money determines who eats, and where not everyone has equal access to money. When one feels emotional pain - this is due to an individual acceptance of oneself as feelings and emotions. This one can stop through breathing and through self-forgiveness, self-honesty, and self-corrective application. The physical points within this world will have to be sorted out once we have created a system that supports all Equally in the physical.

Obviously there are many in this world who are not able to even consider what I am saying, in terms of stopping emotions and feelings - for example, those who are suffering physically and whose main focus in Life is securing food or shelter through money. And yet these are not the ones who are in a position to change the system in any case. There are those who are in positions to use money in a way that would actually bring about the necessary understanding and actions to actually change the system, and yet those are the ones who are mostly engaged in 'enjoying art' and reading poetry and trying to make themselves feel good through spirituality, relationships, and entertainment. And these are the people who make statements such as the one I started by quoting. Or they are the ones who use statements like that as entertainment and justification to blame everyone else for the 'negative feelings' they experience - which are a direct consequence of participating in the positive ones. We tend to use statements such as the one quoted to abdicate self-responsibility and instead blame our experience on others when we are in fact the ones who are creating not only our own experiences but shaping this world and environment for those to come.

There is no reason, in realizing all of this, to judge oneself, because we have been deceiving ourselves for so long that we have even allowed ourselves to forget our own deception. Thus it is a process for us to undo what we have accepted and allowed of ourselves and who we have become. That process starts, though, with realizing that we are each responsible for what we feel and that there are tools for us to stop participating in our feelings and emotions as well as our thoughts. Only then will we be able to stand together as Equals, not blaming each other or even ourselves, but instead directing ourselves to create a world that we would actually like to share with others, where we don't make ourselves feel like we can't trust each other or ourselves.

2011 No-one can be taught, only presented with wisdom

"No-one can be taught, only presented with wisdom (Choakmah)"

What I see in the statement quoted is that it is just a way to make one feel good about oneself - in the sense that one can just be presented with words of wisdom but then one doesn't really have to change - because if you can't be taught then there is no possibility or need to change - the quote is reinforcing the whole point behind spirituality which is to continue to participate in one's feelings and emotions, to never change and direct oneself here, and thus to not question or change this world - the quote exposes that spirituality does not offer one something different to any other system of thought or belief. Spirituality's only purpose is to trap each one who accept it and to continue the system as is.

The fact that spiritual wisdom is simply statements designed to make one feel good implies that those who use these wise words are simply trying to manipulate everyone else through their feelings and emotions - no different to what companies do with advertising - use words which trigger feelings within the listener which they have accepted, in order to trap the listener into a state of acceptance to direct them to some outcome - usually to buy something - and yet what one buys into has no further benefit other than giving one good feelings - as long as one continue to buy and buy without question. Because the wise words are the product - they do not support the person to change, they only support them to remain trapped as emotions and feelings, requiring more and more wise, positive words to keep the emotions going.

To say that one should just go out and be happy and feel free is completely ignoring the physical reality that we live in and the system that we have accepted to direct reality - currently one requires money to survive and if one has no education then one is severely limited in how one is able to get money - thus many in this world are physically limited to doing things that no one would choose to do if they were here freely expressing themselves - and some don't even have that - some just simply starve for their entire existence and experience physical pain - for one to simply ignore that and just 'be happy' in spite of the reality that is here would be the essence of spitefulness.

Furthermore the need to 'feel happy' all the time would actually indicate that one is not free - wouldn't real freedom mean that one would be able to let go of the pursuit of happiness in a world where not everyone can be happy - wouldn't freedom in the context of our current reality be expressed as being free to do what doesn't feel good or gives one no pleasure simply because it is the right thing to do and to then be free to change oneself and this world - the freedom that we would all really like is only possible if everyone is equally free - thus trying to feel free through happiness is just an illusion that will not last.

2011 Christmas and the White Lie

A teacher in New York has apologized to the parents of her 2nd grade class for telling the children that Santa Claus is not real and that their parents are the ones who buy the gifts at Christmas.

Isn't that weird - that someone would have to apologize for telling the truth? Not only that, isn't it weird that we deliberately lie to children and tell them that there is a magical man living at the North Pole who flies around on a magic sled pulled by magical reindeer and delivers presents to all the good children in the span of one day?

Why do we tell our children this fantasy? How does this story - this fantasy really - assist and support children to develop any form of common sense in Life, when you spend your first 5 or 6 years believing something that is physically impossible? It seems to me that the only ones who benefit from this story are corporations who make billions and billions of dollars off of Christmas. And perhaps religion benefits by having children who are willing to accept stories that sound incredible but offer one positive feelings for accepting them, thus ensuring that there are plenty of willing followers for generations to come. But certainly the children do not benefit. Can you remember what it was like when you learned that Santa wasn't real? Didn't you feel betrayed? Isn't that rather abusive?

As parents, does one even question why they are telling these stories to their children? Does the parent even realize what they are doing? Or is it that they simply do as their parents did and follow out the pre-programmed existence that has been laid out before them?

By telling our children this fantasy, do we not obscure how this world really operates? If children believe their iPods are made by cheery little elves then perhaps they will never question the fact that our iPods and iPhones are made by slaves in sweatshops due to exploiting the labor of people in other countries. Perhaps they will be more likely to buy into the lie that those without money deserve it (Santa only brings presents to the good boys and girls). Perhaps the children will never question the fact that so many starve and suffer due to an unfair economic system, because Christmas is the time for giving and thus it is not necessary to give all the time. Perhaps they will never question the reality we live in because they will instead be focused on the feelings of excitement as each holiday approaches - perhaps they will learn to only live for that feeling and thus be easier to manipulate by those seeking to profit off of them.

Perhaps these are only a few of the reasons why Christmas is Bullshit.

2011 Do humans transcend nature?

Let's look at the following statement and see if there is any practical support within it or perhaps whether there are further considerations required that the statement does not address:

"Yes - we are part of nature and cannot forget this. Yet, as human beings, we also transcend nature. "

Firstly, what is meant by 'nature'? Likely it is meant to include the plants and animals, rocks, oceans, etc. This is probably what most people are referring to when they use the word. For example, 'I like being out in nature.'

According to wikipedia:

Nature, in the broadest sense, is equivalent to the natural world, physical world, or material world. "Nature" refers to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general.

The other sense of the word is given by wikipedia as:

Nature is innate behavior (behavior not learned or influenced by the environment), character or essence, especially of a human

Here we mean our inner essence - the 'who we are'. For example someone might say, 'I like to help because its in my nature.'

Within the statement we are looking at, it is clear that nature is meant in the sense of animals, plants, etc - the physical world.

Obviously, we as humans are part of the physical world in that our bodies are physical. We breathe, we eat, we walk - these are all actions that take place in the context of the physical system in which we live. So there is no denying that we are a part of nature from that perspective.
But do we, as humans, transcend nature? This is one of the fundamental questions around which entire religions, spiritual systems, and philosophies are built. However, how can we know for sure? We assume that because we have thoughts, feelings, and emotions, we transcend the physical. However, do we fully understand where our thoughts, feelings, and emotions come from?

Furthermore, what does it mean to 'transcend' the natural - or physical - world? It must meant that we are somehow independent of the physical and thus 'above' it in some way. But where is the evidence of this? Sure there is plenty of evidence showing that we believe that we transcend the physical - for example our pursuits of happiness, love, and intellect - all pursuits which have no physical context in that their achievement is not a physical one. And to pursue these things we still have to live within the physical.

Look at the common sense. If we neglect the physical requirements of our body - we die. If we do not breathe - we die. Even the person who meditates for hours and hours still exists here as a physical body. If we were truly transcendent of the physical, then wouldn't it be possible for us to leave the physical at will? Why do we not know with any certainty what happens at death? Why can we not all individually know these things for ourselves? Why do we instead rely on the hearsay of others?

Is this statement - that we transcend nature - perhaps hiding a justification to rather focus on pursuits that are non-physical? Obviously, many do this. For example, take a person who wants to be successful in life. Let's assume they have defined success as being spiritual. Now to do this, they identify certain activities which they believe will make them more spiritual or serve as evidence of their spirituality, and they perform those activities. And yet at the same time, they must still eat, breathe, drink water, and use money (or at least the products of money.) In other words, they must still participate in the physical system here on Earth. Now, to be able to pursue their idea of success, we can agree that they need money or at least the things that money buys (food, clothing, shelter, etc). And if they do not labor for these things directly then they depend on someone else to donate these things which someone at some point will have to have physically labored to produce. So is it possible, in that sense, for anyone to pursue anything, while here on the Earth, without taking into consideration the physical? And if they are only pursuing their own ideas and beliefs then they are obviously neglecting to consider who will produce the things they require, because someone will have to produce them. The person who pursues an idea will ignore the reality of how the things they require are produced. They will not consider that many in this world have little to none of the things they need. They ignore the fact they some in this world are reduced to only pursuing their own physical survival at all times. And this is directly due to many in this world focusing only on things in their mind - ideas, beliefs, feelings - and thus not caring or paying attention to the physical at all. Obviously they still require the physical things, but as they are focusing on 'spiritual' or 'transcendent' goals, they will not be able to focus on how the physical necessities they require are produced. This is why we have an economic system in which the few exploit the physical labor of the many. Because in order to participate in beliefs and ideas - it requires an enormous amount of energy. And that is simply not possible if one has to labor physically. Thus we have created a economic system where those unfortunate enough to be born in the 'low' position will spend their entire life on Earth laboring physically without even the basic physical requirements being met for themselves - while others, having the basic physical requirements met - have 'freedom' to pursue otherworldly goals - like success, fame, love, happiness, etc. So, whether we acknowledge the point or not, in order for one to purse an idea or goal that is non-physical, according to the rules of the current system, one will require a slave or many slaves to attend to the physical things that one requires.

Is it possible for us to place value on these immaterial things and live in a world where there is no abuse? Why do we place value on such things in the first place? Perhaps this leads us to the other sense of the word 'nature'. Is it our nature to value only things that have no physical reality to them? Is it our nature to only place value on illusions? Are we illusions ourselves? I mean, if you are here in this physical world and you only care about your own happiness while others starve and suffer, then how can you claim your happiness to be real? Because in essence your happiness only exists in your mind as a set of beliefs that only you decide when you have achieved. Real happiness would be more like everyone having their needs met and thus participating in reality in a real physical way where the products of our labor actually support each other and ourselves. Its difficult to even imagine what that would mean, because we, as humans, only understand value in the context of our minds - we only place value on things that are not real - such as love or excitement. And yet it is only possible when one has their physical needs met to then place value on things that are not real. I say that these things are not real, because one moment they are here and the next they are gone. That is different than, say, building a house. Once you build the house, if you do it right, it stays where it is. The house, the structure, is real - not an illusion. But love, for example, or excitement - there is no substance to these things. And if we place value on such things, does that imply that we by our very nature are insubstantial?

What we are in essence doing is enslaving the physical world to be able to exist here and to then pursue beliefs and ideas in our minds - things that are not possible without the energy generated by creating conflict within the physical universe. For example, for me to experience the feeling of falling in love, I must first create a world in which I and another person have a lack of love - this will lead us to seeking out the experience we feel that we lack - thus creating a form of conflict within ourselves- and then experiencing the energy associated with the resolution of the conflict which we call falling in love. We feel complete - that all is well - that everything is as it should be. But as anyone who has experienced love knows; this feeling never lasts. And why should it? We created a system to experience something that wasn't real and that deliberately creates lack. That is real self abuse, isn't it? It is real insanity when we create and participate in a system of abuse and conflict to chase a feeling or idea and then expect that when we get that idea, not only will it be real, but we will not experience the consequence of the abuse we have carried out in order to pursue our goal. Thus we must believe we transcend the physical if we believe we can abuse it and yet escape the abuse ourselves.

If we were truly transcendent of nature - would we abuse it? Or is it that we are, in our very nature, abusive? We have to realize that we are not in fact separate from the physical world - we cannot exist without it. If we could, then why would we be here in the physical? And yet if we continue act as if we are better than the physical then we are simply harming ourselves. Are we simply the manifestation of self-abuse? Is that our true nature?

2011 Is Inner Change Real when the World Remains the Same?

"Combing the mirror. We are trying to change out there, which is nothing more than a mirror in here of our sense of reality... If we want to comb our hair, we don't comb the mirror, we comb our hair and the mirror than reflects that, when we change this, the mirror out there reflects this, and the world changes. It's just a mirror, a mirror reality.
We are the power in everyone. We are the dance of the moon and the sun. We are the hope that will never hide. We are the turning of the tide."

- David Icke

The problem with this statement is that it ignores the fact that events in the physical world occur according to our actions. Thus it is our physical participation in events that directly contributes to poverty, for example, by participating in an Economic system that is based on profit and not on what is Best for All. Now, it is obviously important to change oneself within, from the perspective that if one continue to allow oneself to listen to one's emotions and feelings and thoughts then one will likely not direct themselves to act physically in a way that is Best for All. The problem with David Icke's statement, though, is that it leaves open the door for one to simply change what one feels inside and to focus only on that and then to simply expect the world to change as a result. Thus the statement does not give practical support as to how one change within and what is relevant feedback to make sure that one has changed in fact. It is 'easy' for one to delude oneself into thinking one has changed, when in fact one has only changed how one feels. The moment the human feels happy, they believe things have changed for the better and thus there is nothing else necessary to do. However, making oneself feel happy inside will not change the economic system. It will not change the fact that there are wars, rape, murder, and abuse in this world. Because these are all the result of our participation in a physical system that is not Best for All. Therefore it is not enough to simply change within. One must also change the without to reflect the change one has made within. If one feels happy and yet there is still abuse in the world without, then one's happiness is not real. It is a delusion one has created for oneself. Thus the point of the Desteni process is not to make oneself 'feel good' but rather to remove the layers of resistance to changing oneself for real, and to assist and support oneself and others to find stability within oneself to make the changes necessary in the world without.

Within David Icke's statement there is the illusion of oneness presented in that we are 'one with the mirror', thus if we change within, we change what we see in the mirror. What Icke's statement lacks is the point of Equality. By recognizing our Equality with the physical world, we are able to take direct self-responsibility for it and thus direct it and ourselves to Equalize both our inner and outer. Within this, we do not separate ourselves from the physical world and say that it is an illusion. We say we are one and Equal to the physical. Thus what we accept and allow within ourselves we will see reflected in the world 'out there'. And what we accept and allow in the world 'out there' will shape the 'inner self' of the children to come.We must take responsibility for everything that exists, both inner and outer, because until we do, we will always be chasing our tails and biting our own asses. And that is not Living for Real. That is just a game where no one ever wins.

2011 In This World You're Either Born Into Money or Suffering

I've just seen the 'Lions' episode of 'Working Man's Death' and I find that, having watched three of these episodes now, the point that I always find most fascinating is, despite the horrendous working conditions depicted, the workers always make statements justifying their position based on God's will. In the Lions episode, we are shown a slaughtering field in Nigeria where goats and cows are brought to be slaughtered, cut, and some cooked to be sold to more wealthy people for export. The meat is cut and dragged through the mud and then roasted over fires made from what looks like burning tires. It is far from what we would consider even remotely clean or sanitary in America. The conditions are dirty; the men wash their faces in bloody water and stack the cooked meat on broken horns on the muddy ground. I would never want to work in a situation like this, given a choice, and yet for many in this world - they have no choice.

Although we cannot hear the questions asked by the film crew, we hear the responses of the workers. They state that 'they are born into suffering' and 'if God, in his infinite mercy grants them success then so be it.' They believe that God has placed them into the position they are in and they accept it. One worker explained that although he may not be the best at his job (washing the roasted goat bodies), he was grateful for his skills and believed that his job made him special. Here you have a being who's sole purpose in life is to wash cooked goat heads in a muddy field filled with thick tire smoke, and he feels that he is special because at least he has a job.

On the other side of the world, we drive nice cars with air conditioning, watch television for hours, eat delicious full meals, and sit in our air conditioned homes cleaned by other 'less fortunate' people. And we believe our position makes us special as well. We believe it is God's will, when in fact we are where we are due to the system that we accept and in which we participate in every moment, whether we recognize this fact or not. God is not some person in the sky - God is a system, which is really just us. And there really is no justice when we brainwash another person to accept their place - a place we would never dream of occupying - by teaching them that God has a plan and that if you are in a position that you do not like, then you must deserve it and you are lucky that you at least have God's mercy and maybe if you are lucky there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. At least that's what we all tell ourselves. There is really is no shame in this world.

2011 Why do we keep our Brothers as our Slaves?

In watching the 'Brothers' episode of 'Working Man's Death' the thing that struck me most - was the statements that many of the men made in justification of the dangerous nature of the work they perform on a daily basis. The workers, mostly poor, uneducated Pakistani men, are tasked with dismantling decommissioned ships to salvage the metal from their hulls for scrap. They have very few tools - basically blow torches and pully-systems to pull the ships apart. They have no safety equipment or protective clothing whatsoever, and the work is extremely dangerous and physically demanding.

Obviously this work would take a toll on one emotionally/psychologically, thus it was fascinating to hear the men justify the work with statements like 'Whether the work is good or bad is not up to us to say' - 'We are glad to be injured - because good and bad come from God'. They made statements that they had 'no choice' and that they were 'born to die'. These people have completely accepted themselves as nothing more then tools in a system that does not care for their safety or survival. They are paid the bare minimum to survive and some said that it is not even enough for that. And yet they continue to work because as they said - they have no choice.

It is fascinating - living in America - in a country where choice is held up to be a 'right' that no one can take from you. And many in America will argue that everyone has a 'choice' and that those in other countries who have no money to survive - that is their choice. And yet if you actually ask the people in other countries or simply observe them, it is clear that there is no choice - because they have no money. They have no education to get a job that would secure them money. And the argument that they are lazy - a favorite argument of 'free choice' proponents - is simply not the case. These people work harder and longer than I can imagine I would be willing - under 'normal circumstances'. Again, they have NO CHOICE. They are born to die. They are born to work. They are born to be our slaves.

The workers commented that there was very little argument or fighting amongst the workers because it would be counterproductive and waste their energy. Energy that could be used to dismantle the ships for scrap metal to feed the system that we - half a world away - benefit from with all the comforts that we take for granted and in fact believe are our 'rights'. But let me ask - is it right that we keep our Brothers in Slavery?

2011 The Sulfur Ghosts of Indonesia

I've just finished watching the 'Ghosts' episode of Working Man's Death and I have to admit, it was difficult to watch. I'm sitting here eating spaghetti, in my air conditioning, surrounded by electronics and other things that make life 'comfortable'. And I'm watching these men on youtube literally slaving away, trudging up and down a mountain spewing boiling hot sulfur, beating the ground with metal poles to break up the crystallized sulfur. They load the sulfur rocks into two baskets joined by a wooden slat and carry the load over rocky terrain for quite some distance to have it weighed and loaded onto trucks.

It's fascinating, because I look at the times when I have complained about the work I do - whether manual labor or 'intellectual labor' - it all pales in comparison to the work these men are doing, for hours upon hours, every day of their lives for less than what it costs even to eat. And I have to ask, how have I accepted the world to be in such a way that this kind of life is all that some beings have?

According to this article:

The extremely reactive element [Sulfur] is used in a number of applications including the manufacture of gunpowder, insecticides, and prescription drugs. It is also part of the vulcanization process for rubber, and it is the base for well-utilized compounds like sulfuric acid.

It forms the basis for gunpowder, which we in the industrialized world - the consumer societies, use to defend our 'freedoms', our economic systems, to make sure that our way of life is secure and that no one else is able to threaten it. It forms the basis of prescription medication which we use to make sure that we are able to fend off diseases that ravage other populations and to make sure that our children feel good while we ignore the cries of billions that suffer and die from preventable and treatable diseases due to lack of money. And it forms the basis for the poisons we use to kill animals and insects who dare to threaten our food - the food which we produce in never ending abundance - which we horde and let rot in silos to keep prices stable to maintain our unfair economic system - even while billions of bellies go without food.

It's a shame really - that it is so easy to lose sight of the world as it really is - to believe that everything is ok and that the only suffering is the boredom one feels between television episodes and the time one spends in traffic going to and from one's office. It is sad that it is possible for some to be able to escape the misery that so many experience every moment of their lives from the first to last breath - simply due to an economic system that ensures some have money. Money has become that tool used to displace suffering. Unfortunately we use it only to displace our own individual suffering and fail to consider that unless we use money in a way that we care for all Equally - then surely we will not be able to sustain our system as it is. I wonder if we will wait until it is too late - when everything has 'hit the fan' and then there is nothing left for anyone except suffering. And even then - will we realize that we are in this together?

The point in the video that struck me the most was the tourists who were wandering around the sulfur mines taking pictures as if they were at the zoo. They would stop for group pictures or pose with the workers baskets - meanwhile the workers would scurry past carrying 70-80 kg loads of sulfur. They showed how the workers would take a moment to create a small sulfur sculpture out of the boiling sulfur to sell to the tourists and the American tourists would haggle over the price - $20 was too much - they would only pay $10. There was no recognition of the position that the worker was in - that this was his only means of survival - while on the other hand you have a couple who have the 'freedom' to waste time 'experiencing' the environment of the mines, without the suffering that the workers have to endure on a daily basis. It was surreal seeing the contrast between the tourists and workers.

It is clear to me that we cannot allow this to continue. I realize that it's not as simple as just talking - though the more beings that see the problem and that are willing to consider that, unless we change and create a new system, this world and our experience within it are only going to get worse. And really it is unacceptable to allow this kind of thing to continue - even if the system were 'working'. There is no reason why some have to live a life of suffering while others live in relative comfort. It is unacceptable - and this is coming from one of those who lives in comfort, with a roof over my head, with food, with electricity, with entertainment, with a job - with MONEY.

2011 If it had not been for the goodness of God, where would you be?

"If it had not been for the goodness of God, where would you be? Some wouldn’t be alive today. Some would still be addicted. If it had not been for God’s favor some would still be struggling, barely making it."

The words of someone justifying the belief in a just and loving god - turning a blind eye to the reality that so many face in this world on a daily basis. The psychology of the person making this statement is obviously one of fear from the perspective that if one looks self-honesty at one's life, Life has become nothing more than a constant focus on survival. Every dimension of our lives is influenced by money and unless one have it, one suffers. So, why be thankful to God for placing everyone in this position. Why would one cling to a belief in the goodness of God, despite the world not being a good place for all, unless one is afraid of God and actually believe that God might punish one for not being a 'great fool' (grateful). Unless one really is a great fool and does not see and recognize the reality of this world as a game of survival where the losers suffer beyond imagination.

The statement 'if it had not been for God's favor, some would still be struggling, barely making it' actually proves that God's favor does not exist for most, only for the few who are not struggling. And if one look at our current system, it does favor only the few, those with money and those who are able to manipulate others effectively to get money. If God were real and good, wouldn't he make sure that all are favored, and that no one is left to suffer needlessly?

2011 Is Honesty a Losing Strategy?

"A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first and Honest people are victimized first..."

This statement implies that there is a force 'out there' which exists as some sort of 'natural law' whereby people who are honest become victims, as if there is no room for self-responsibility in the Universe. Imagine if each one thought this way and acted accordingly, we would have a system of abuse, where some play victim and others, 'the cunning ones', play predator and take advantage of the weakness of the victims. The statement implies that by realizing this 'truth' about the system one can have an advantage, however, simply by accepting this statement one becomes the abuser, the victimizer.

Now obviously, in this world, we do have those who take advantage of others, through an unEqual education system, through the control of money supplies and exchange rates, and yet, if those who can see this accept the above statement, then how will things ever change? The acceptance of this statement only supports those who are in positions to benefit from dishonesty. Isn't it obvious that we create this world through what we accept and allow ourselves to be defined by. If we were to not accept this statement, that one must be dishonest to survive, then we would be in a position to show others and to thus create a system through agreement based on Honesty. And not the kind of honesty like simply telling the truth, but the kind of Honesty where we acknowledge the physical reality that we are a part of and where we recognize the physical needs of others and do not take advantage of that to control others but rather give to each other unconditionally what we each would like. That is real Honesty, Self-Honesty, because then one realize that we don't have to be dishonest to survive, and that we only create that through participation - rather we can create a world where Self-Honesty is the starting point and where we have no need to be dishonest. When the system actually supports each one and ensures that each have what they need, then why would one need to be dishonest? That is only necessary when the system is a game where the rules are unfair and one MUST cheat just to exist.

Ultimately, we are each responsible for the rules we accept and allow ourselves to follow, and while some may be in an unfortunate position due to being born into a place where they have no physical support, it is up to those of us who are fortunate enough to have at least the basics of survival to stand up in place of those who can't and to support each other to actually change this system to one that will eventually support each of us and those children to come to not have to live in dishonesty, believing we have to cheat to live.

2011 How can we express ourselves freely in a system of survival?

"Life is not a competition that is tough, and our experience and purpose is not about survival, it is about expression. Specifically, the expression of Divinity in, through, and as Us, and the experience of heaven on earth." - Neale Donald Walsch (author of Conversations with God)

In these words, Walsch states that the purpose of Life is to express oneself and to experience ourselves in Heaven on Earth. While I agree that this should be the case, it is clear when one look at the physical world around us that this is not the case in fact. For billions in this world, Life is ONLY competition and survival. For trillions of organisms -animals, plants, insects - Life is nothing but suffering. Nice words will not change this fact. And it is not enough to use one's mind to create a belief that one is experiencing divinity, because that is only possible when one has money.

Expression requires Money in this System

Neale Donald Walsch has created a cult following of people who buys his books, listen to his lectures, and this allows him to experience 'expression'. Because without thousands of followers to buy his books and thus to provide money for himself, how would he express? And if it is not necessary for him to express himself through books and lectures, then why does he do so? Is it perhaps that he is not Self-Honesty enough to recognize that he expresses himself in the way he does because others buy into it? And thus he has created a survival system for himself through his expression, even though what he expresses is the exact opposite of what he is in fact doing.

Knowledge without Application is Useless

Instead of expressing 'wise words' that make one feel good but in fact offer nothing in terms of practical support to actually change this world, Neale Donald Walsch could instead look at the physical reality directly, not interpreting it through emotion and the energetics of the beliefs he has created for himself, and to then offer practical advice on how we can make this world actually the expression and experience of Heaven on Earth - not just for the few who have learned how to write books that make people feel good - but for everyone, regardless of one's birthplace.

Practical Solutions are what is Required

This is why we suggest Equal Money, as a practical solution - one that will actually eliminate the need to focus on survival and competition as a means of securing the basic necessities required to exist in this world. Equal Money is a system - one that is built through a process wherein we ensure that each and everyone who lives on Earth has what we would all like - the ability to express oneself, free of fear, without the need to abuse. Pretty words will not get us there - only practical, physical actions which can be show to mathematically accumulate in a way that brings about a world that is Best for All. It may not be clear to each how this can be accomplished, thus there are materials and interviews being published daily that give practical support and understanding that is required for each of us to participate in a real way to bring about the changes necessary. Let us not be fooled into thinking that money is not the primary resource in this world. And let us use money to therefore change this world so that we will never have to worry about it again. Once that is done, it will be appropriate for us to say that Life is not about survival and competition - but we have a lot of work to do before then.

2011 Why are there so many Bad Apples in this World?

"For every tree is known by his own fruit, for a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit"

When is a tree good and when is a tree bad? Is a tree bad when it does not bear fruit? What if the fruit it bears is poisonous? What about a human? Are humans who do bad things just 'bad people'?

If we recognize the fact that we live in a physical system, then we can realize that a tree that bears bad fruit does not do so in isolation. The tree bears its fruit on the basis of what is put into the soil, the type and amount of water the tree receives, and the amount of sunlight and nutrients provided for the tree during its Life. The tree is a physical system of inputs and outputs, just like the human being. When the human is born into this world there is no conscious mind - there are no thoughts, feelings, or ideas and beliefs. All these things are programmed into the human after birth through education, parenting, experience, etc - in other words, the environment one grows up in determines all the 'inputs' - thus if a tree is not bearing fruit, it would be insane to claim that the tree is just a 'bad tree' - rather one must find out whether the soil is supporting the tree effectively, whether there is enough water, and so on.

And so it must be the same for the human being as well. If there are humans who are doing things to harm others, or acting out of self-interest and abusing, then we must look at the environment that is supporting the human to act in this way. This is common sense, isn't it?

Thus if people are stealing, we must ask, "Are they getting what they need in the first place?" If people are physically abusing each other, we must ask, "Are these people being taught that abuse is the proper way to get what one needs and wants from reality?" If people are not able to find employment and be successful within it when they do, does it make sense to blame them and call them lazy? Or rather, shouldn't we ask, "Is the education system supporting all Equally to become effective within the system of work that we have accepted and allowed?" And if the answer to these questions is no, then doesn't it make sense that we would change the environment to one that actually supports each to be effective and to not live as destructive behavior patterns? It is no secret that we pattern ourselves, not only our behavior but our self-image, after the world around us, thus it is up to us who are aware of this, to change the pattern of our environment, starting firstly with ourselves and to show others how to change themselves until the environment that we all participate in - the system that is comprised of our daily actions - reflects the actions of the kind of person that we would like to see being born into this world - because that is what we will get. We get what we give, and if we want to see a change in the children to come and then we must start with those who are here - because it is us who shape the world and environment for those who are born into it.

2011 11-11-11 The Eleventh Hour as 20% of Animals face Extinction

Today is 11-11-11 and for 20% of animals on Earth, it is truly the 11th hour. According to a report by 174 scientists published in the journal, Science, many animals - mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians - have been placed on the 'red list' and face imminent extinction as a result primarily of human activity. According to CNN, which reported on the study, the main cause is human expansion, invasion, and agriculture activities.

A closed system
What are we doing to our planet and the organisms that inhabit it? Do we have any consideration for them at all? Do we even have any actual consideration for ourselves? It is a well-established scientific understanding that the planet is for the most part a closed system and that even small changes in the environment can have wide-ranging and even disastrous effects on the environment as a whole. Having studied environmental science, I understand that removing animals from the food chain can disrupt the entire system. Now, I'm not defending the survival system in itself, however it simply shows how we as humans are not even effectively considering our own ability to exist on this planet. This is a clear demonstration of the principle that 'You get what you give'.

Profit motive vs Common Sense
Now if we would only apply principle in the Best Interest of All, then we would have a completely different system and result. But when one examine the motivation behind for example deforestation and replacing of natural habitats with farmland, one sees that the real reason this is being done is not out of any type of consideration of what is Best for All, but only out of the desire for profit. It profits the few who own shares in the agricultural companies, by increasing their dividends. It benefits those who control natural resources like oil to completely destroy thousands and thousands of acres of pristine forest and to murder and displace hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of animals and plants in Alberta, Canada, just to get to the ground underneath which contains oil.

Who is to blame?
And at the end of the day, what is done with these profits? Are they used in a way that benefits everyone equally? No, they are used to increase the control and comfort of the very few who own shares of these companies who are doing the destruction. The great sacrifice of so many is not even justified from a utilitarian perspective - it simply goes to making the already rich even richer - in a world where even billions of humans starve and lack the basic dignities that we would all like for ourselves.

Aren't we all responsible?
And yet, can we blame these companies and wash our own hands in innocence? Of course not - we participate in the system of consumerism. We benefit ourselves and the shareholder of the large corporation is only in a position to benefit slightly more. We, as humans, go through our lives looking for the next product, the next entertainment, the next thing that will capture our attention for a few minutes until we tire of it and move to the next - and within this we do not consider the consequence, because we do not consider what we are doing to the other trillions of Lifeforms that are here in order to have the consumer lifestyles that we have accepted. And we do not examine why it is that we believe we have to consume. Why have we come to believe that Life is about consumption? Perhaps we have believed it because that is all we have known, but then the challenge is for us to find out if we can look again and decide if this way of Life is in fact in our own best interest. Clearly it is not, because as we consume this planet, we destroy our environment in the process. And that is clearly not in our self interest.

Time to Stop
It is time that we stop this madness and look at how we can manage the resources left on this planet in a practical way that actually benefits all Life Equally. An Equal Money System as a management tool will ensure that the starting point of any action is what is Best for All - simply by removing the profit motive from the equation. Thus if no one is able to profit from these actions unfairly, then these destructive activities would stop. Because again, that is why this is happening in the first place, because we all accept and allow a system where profit is acceptable and a valid pursuit. With an Equal Money System we can ensure that All profit Equally and thus we can stop the insanity of destroying our environment for only a short-term benefit of very few.

2011 Why Sharing isn't going to solve the World's Problems

"We all have the same basic needs....food shelter love....We must share more with others..!!"

The above statement seems to be a statement in support of others, however it we look at the specific vocabulary used we will see that this statement actually implies separation and supports the current system to continue as it is.

The deception in this statement is in the use of the word 'sharing'. Sharing implies ownership and supports the current system of have and have not. For example, if we lived within a system that ensured that each had the basic dignities we would all like to be able to exist in this world, then why would there be a need to share?

Sharing implies that some own more than what they need and that others lack, thus the need to share from one's abundance to provide for another. Why is this necessary unless we support a system that creates lack for some and abundance for others? Wouldn't it make more sense to create a system that provided for all Equally and then we wouldn't need to concern ourselves with sharing because we would already be sharing by our very participation in an Equal System. Imagine, with everyone taken care of, we would be able to do more as individuals, because we would not have to concern ourselves with sharing!

What else could we do if our main focus was not on our own or an others' survival? We could actually live as Equals for one, because we would never have to look down on another person for not having as much as ourselves, and we would not have to feel inferior because someone else has more than ourselves. Our relationships with each other would change fundamentally because our starting point would be one of Equality and not competition or focus on survival.

2011 Life is Too Short to Waste

"Life is too short to waste another minute on anyone or anything that doesn't make you happy."

Is this statement sound advice or is it simply justification to not deal with reality?

Within the words, it is implied that the purpose of Life is to be happy, and thus anything that detracts from that should be avoided. However, if one is self-honest about the world we live in, one can see that we live in a consumer driven society based on profit and loss and thus the system itself is not designed to make everyone happy, because for someone to profit, others must lose. For example, for Apple Inc to make profits, they must employ cheap labor in Chinese factories, the working conditions of which have driven many to commit suicide. Obviously increased profits means more money for Apple shareholders, which probably makes them happy, however what about the workers who will never be happy due to the unequal economic system that placed them in a position to have to work for 60 cents an hour for 12 hours a day. What about their happiness? Should these people refuse to work, because they are obviously not happy? But then how will they eat? It is difficult to find happiness and pleasure in one's experience with an empty belly.

And thus if we look at the experience of billions of humans on this planet who live without even basic dignities it is easy to see that their unhappiness is caused by the actions of the few who seek their own happiness at all costs.

Happiness comes at a cost to so many.

But perhaps all of this depends on how one define happiness. Meaning, what if one defined one's happiness according to making sure everyone had the ability to live with dignity and thus ensuring that would ensure one's happiness? Imagine, if everyone did that, how much different Life would be, even for yourself. No more competing with each other to 'get' happiness, actually working to make sure each is taken care of and thus ensuring the same for oneself.

If one look self-honestly at what makes you happy - its a fascinating exercise - what one will discover is that everything that you believe makes you happy has been programmed into you since birth. Meaning all of the values you attach to things, they were given to you - they came from parents, media, school, and the other influences from your environment. You were not born with any inherent values - thus if one is not able to change their values to value all Life Equally - wouldn't that imply that one is a programmed robot unable to change?

And yet, if one is willing and able to change that would imply that one is really alive and not in fact ONLY a pre-programmed automaton carrying out a set of instructions. If Life is indeed too short to Waste - then that would imply that one should make it count and not let your time here go to waste. Consumption and Waste go hand in hand - thus are we really just consumers as we have been taught - are we just a waste of Life? If we as humans are willing to let go of what we have been taught - which is the designed deliberately to support the system as it is - then we are capable of changing this world and thus the generations to come can be brought up to value Life itself and have to go through the pains of living as a separate entity just trying to pursue some undefinable happiness until the pursuit ultimately ends in Death. Then if one returns here, it would be the experience that one would have liked, and your happiness would be guaranteed because you helped create a system that would make it so. But the more we participate in blind consumerism and the 'pursuit of happiness' at all costs - the more we actually separate ourselves more and more from True Happiness - the kind of happiness that would result from knowing that no matter where one is or what one is doing, there need be no anxiety, no worry about the future, and that one's actions actually make this world a better place for all - and that would include you wouldn't it?

2011 Why Occupy won't Change the System

The rallying theme of many Occupy protestors has become disobedience to an unfair system. Its fascinating, though, when one looks at the whole movement not from an emotional standpoint but from one of common sense, in terms of the actual consequences of the actions of the Occupy protestors.

How is it, that by occupying a space and refusing to leave one will actually change the system itself to one that supports each equally? There really is no common sense in this approach, and it is no different than the unruly child who folds his arms and pouts his lips and refuses to budge if the parent doesn't buy them a new toy.

Sure the child may get their way temporarily, but this will not sustain the child into adulthood, because the action the child is taking does not in itself produce the result that the child wants. It is nothing more than emotional and psychological manipulation to get the parent to produce the object of the child's desire.

It is the same with the Occupy protestors, just as it was with the Egyptian protestors - no change will come about as a result of this so called 'activism' because the activity does not actually produce a real structural change in the system - it only changes the faces of the players for a short time. It does not end the systematic reward system where profit is placed over human dignity. It does not end the cycles of compounding debt based on the starting point that for money to be brought into reality, it must come in the form of debt and that someone should be allowed to take advantage of this.

The Occupy movement, and in fact no previous movement, has actually questioned the system itself - which is to in fact question oneself. No one is willing to take Self-Responsibility for the system that we all accept and allow and participate in within each moment.

It is far easier, it seems, to blame and project onto others and to DEMAND the system be changed than it is to step-by-step, moment-by-moment, breath-by-breath, actually perform the REAL actions necessary to bring about a REAL change in the system. A REAL change that actually benefits all EQUALLY - that is Best for All - not based on flawed ideologies or beliefs and opinions, but rather based on SOUND MATHEMATICS and COMMON SENSE. Because there is so little that we can trust in this reality (after we have so little trust in ourselves and each other) that it is vitally important that we establish a COMMON GROUND which we can all actually AGREE on. Here we require Self-Honesty so that we can establish whether our actions are indeed producing a result that is best for all - and Self-Forgiveness when we find that we have been acting out of Self-Interest all along - Thus we get to Self-Corrective Action when we realize that we have to do things differently and, because we are no longer blaming others or the system itself, we take full Self-Responsibility to make sure that our individual participation is Best for All. Because the system is US - the elite, the poor, the middle class, the beggar, the policeman, they are us - This world is occupied by US - we are the ones that use money for our survival - why not let it be a tool for self-expression, by ensuring that each has enough to survive and thus eliminating the whole game of Competition is one act of Equality and give to each what we would really like after all.

Can you imagine how different the world would be if each of us actually cared about each other?

And look at how easy it would be to care - not some fake, platitude of expressing concern with false words, but rather simply participating in a system where each has enough money to live with Dignity - and to participate in a system where Life is of ultimate value.

One protestor, quoting Henry David Thoreau, said that 'Disobedience is the foundation of Liberty.' And that the 'obedient are slaves'. They went on to argue that True independence is to resist the system. Though wouldn't that be, in essence, binding independence and liberty on the existence of an unfair system? Is it perhaps that Thoreau and the current Occupy protestors are not looking beyond the system itself and asking themselves "What is of ultimate value?"

And is there an answer? If there is an answer, shouldn't we be able to agree on it? And wouldn't that which exists Here, Life, be of ultimate value? - Because if you don't agree, then wouldn't that imply you would rather not Live - that there is something more important? And how can we be aLive if we deny Life to anything that is here? Life is what is Here - there can't be a more basic common sense statement than that. Life is Here and Life is Equal. And if we can't see beyond the system as we accept it, then we are accepting ourselves as Less than the System - which means we will remain slaves, no matter how much we protest, no matter how much we resist.

Fascinating - the Occupiers, in believing that they are resisting the system only confirm that they accept themselves as less than the system - otherwise they would see the common sense in Directing it as themselves - and within that enslave themselves to the system even further.

In a system, where money has become our God, the more time one 'spends' protesting, the less time they spend working - who is going to feed the protestor? Who will provide their basic needs? How will they communicate with each other and the world without using the products of money - phones, internet, computers, etc. Is the protestor Self-Honest about these points or are they just another consumer, brainwashed by their education, only further enslaving themselves to the system through the inaction of 'activism'?

2011 How do I face my fears and transcend them?

Working in sales, I have had to face my fear of speaking to strangers and directing them and myself. The policeman in my head has always told me to be polite to strangers and never to make another person feel uncomfortable. But the day I realized that the policeman is only there because I accept and allow it, then I was able to change myself and become more Self-Directive.

For example, before I went on my first sales appointment, I was very nervous and mostly afraid. I was afraid that the person to whom I was presenting my product would become angry with me and that I would forget the information that I was there to present. I was also afraid of the person rejecting me and thus not making the sale. But at the same time, I have done things in my life that I was not at first very good at and then over time become very good at through practice, for example, playing soccer, learning the violin and piano, learning how to make music, how to read, etc. Of course, if I had never tried these things in the first place, then I would never have become better at them.

So what I realized was that I had to go on this first appointment, even though I was afraid, and that by walking through that fear, I would then be able to expand and become better and more effective and eventually I will become very good as presenting. And I also realized that what I was really afraid of, was not those things I thought initially, but rather how I would feel if they happened. I was afraid of feeling uncomfortable and having that experience that I imagined would occur. So when I realized this, I also understood that I simply had to go through the experience and allow myself to see that its really not so bad as I think.

So this was how I talked myself into going on that first appointment. I did Self-Forgiveness on the fears and for allowing myself to believe that I'm actually limited by the fear, that the fear was real. And thus my Self-Corrective action was when I physically went to the appointment. Now, I didn't make the sale, and I didn't remember half of the information, and yes, I did feel a bit nervous, just as I thought I would (of course, I created the experience for myself, didn't I?), but after leaving the person's home, I realized, "Ok, that's done now, it wasn't the end of the world, and now I don't have to worry about that anymore."

And I thus in that moment freed myself of having to recreate that experience, because I saw that it wasn't real, I had created, and now I could move beyond that and focus on what I am actually supposed to be doing, which is to present the information in the most effective way possible to assist the other person to make a decision that benefits them and myself.

And so, if you have a fear that you are really not wanting to walk through, I suggest that you do what I did. Firstly look Self-Honestly at the fear and determine, is this fear legitimate, meaning what is the worst-case scenario? If is it going to physically harm you or someone else to walk through the fear, then perhaps it is legitimate. But for me, in this specific case, I realized that my fear was only in my mind. And thus all the thoughts and beliefs I had about what would happen was just mind-talk to keep myself limited into my pre-programmed design and to never expand and be who I really am, which is capable of a lot more than what I have led myself to believe thus far.

Then once you have identified that the fear is really just in your mind, use Real Self-Talk to show yourself that the fear is only as real as you make it and that once you walk through the experience you are afraid of, you will able to see that its not really as bad as you originally thought.

Only then will the fear be transcended. Realize that you will have to face the feelings and experience before you transcend it. It is unreasonable to expect that by deciding to face the fear, that you won't experience the feelings and emotions that you have built up around the event, but by preparing yourself before hand through Self-Forgiveness and by allowing yourself to realize that the fears are not real, then once you do walk through it, you will be able to let go of it and no longer be limited by it.

Remember to be gentle with yourself, and if you make a mistake and fall back into the fear, don't allow yourself to make a big thing of it. We all make mistakes, that is the process of learning, but when you see the mistake, determine yourself to fix it and move beyond the old pattern.

In this way you will support yourself, as I am doing, to not only transcend fears and to become self-directive in your self-expression and effectiveness in the system.

2011 Living with Animals Challenges the Consumer Robot in ME

Living with Animals challenges me in many ways - most of all by messing with my programming as a consumer robot!

For example, it is basically impossible to leave the house for any length of time to travel without having the dogs rip up and tear apart any and all things within their immediate vicinity. Its actually quite funny when I catch myself reacting - in my mind there are points of blame and irritation, but when I really just breathe and look I see silly dogs who just want to chew and play. So it is quite obvious that the real source of my irritation is my own acceptance and allowance of placing value in things that I own and wanting things to be a certain specific, neat and orderly way.

For example, as a human I find dirt and mud uncomfortable, and yet the dogs seem to have no problem and they will take any chance to run and jump on the bed and get mud and water all over the bedsheets. So obviously that would cause a problem if I were obsessed with having fine silk linens and expensive bed clothes.

Expensive shoes are a no-no as well, because it seems that the more expensive the shoe, the better it tastes to a dog, or perhaps the more fun it is to chew it up, LOL.

And if one is obsessed with cleanliness, try living with 4 cats who want to walk on and scratch everything LOL - and see how long you last without getting irritated. And at the end of the day, who can you blame but oneself for placing value on an abstract state of mind such as 'cleanliness.'

Its also humbling from a certain perspective, because I find myself paying attention to the quality of water that I drink and what is in the food that I eat, and yet the dogs deserve the same attention, so now it becomes necessary to deny myself the usual treats and toys that I would normally not think twice about buying, to instead by the dogs and cats a better quality of food and water.

These are but a few examples of how living with animals can really mess with your programming - and its cool, because they are here supporting me to let go of my own robotic consumer programming, and I take care of them in return.

Wouldn't things be different if we lived in a system that wasn't based on buying and selling and profit? I mean, if the emphasis, the main thrust of Life wasn't all about acquiring things and always trying to attain more money or the symbols of having money, like fancy clothes and expensive furniture. And perhaps even our houses would be set up differently so that animals had an Equal place within them. Because at the moment, when you go into a human being's house, it is set up primarily for the human, and the animal is at most an accessory who tries not to get in the way. But if the emphasis was on Life and Equality, we would make sure to construct living spaces that considered all who would use them and not just design to make the human a more effective consumer and worker.

And for example, when we go walking with the dogs, we have to put them on leashes or leads so that they are not hit by a car. And the dogs pull and pull because they would rather be able to run free and play. And yet we realize that this is not practical at the moment, so we either have to pull back on them or discipline them or train them not pull on the leash. So we are constantly trying to mold the animal's nature to fit how we have designed ourselves. And why didn't we just design neighborhoods more like nature parks to consider all the animals as well (the dogs, cats, racoons, squirrels, birds, etc depending on where you live). Why not park our cars outside of the neighborhood and walk to our houses? This would cut down on accidents involving animals and even humans being injured by cars playing or walking or moving about near their homes.

Well the reason, why we have not designed our neighborhoods so is because the current design is more effective to create separation between neighbor and to support us in our consuming and working. We have our cars, which have become symbols of our consumption and wealth, so that we can get to work easily and get to the fast food quickly. And thus we keep our animals and children on a short leash and behind fences; keeping everything in a slight constant tension, else we might actually see the Life in them as what we are missing within ourselves and then we might even decide we no longer want to live as we are, but reconsider how things have become as they are.

And then we may even do something about it.

2011 Freedom, Choice, and Illusion

I hear it being said a lot in the media that many American's believe that they have a moral obligation to spread and promote Free Speech and Freedom of Expression in other countries. And yet, the same Americans are unwilling to see that Freedom does not in fact exist in America. You have those who will claim that, in other countries, the average citizen has no say in their life and is a slave to the whims of some dictator, however even in America, the average person, even though they believe that they have freedom, actually has none. Without money, even in America, one has no Freedom, because in this world, Money has become the tool with which one Move, Express, and Survive, and without it, one has very few choices, which really aren't choices, but rather options, none of which are in the being's interest or in the Best Interest of All.

How can we suggest that America can simply go to another country and support Freedom without actually making any real change to the current system, which is a Global System, in fact. And yet, the average person is brainwashed into believing that individual countries actually determine the fate of their citizens.

When the price of grain rises in the global marketplace, those countries which import grain get screwed and those who can't afford the price hike simply starve.

How can Freedom exist when all do not have Equal access to that with which to actually exercise Freedom?

Has Freedom simply become another catchphrase with no actual referent? Can Freedom exist in a world where Money decides who lives and who dies and when Money is not given to all Equally, but instead doled out in a Global Casino System where only a few players ever see any return?

For the average person, Freedom has come to mean the ability to choose between 4 or 5 different products which suit their personality and lifestyle (another false choice, actually determined by one's access to money). And little does the consumer realize that the 4 or 5 choices are actually all the same product, just with different packaging and in the end the profits of each ending up in the hands of only a few individuals.

It's fascinating, how often I hear people say "Well, that's my choice!" or "Everybody makes their own choices!" when justifying their own or someone else's behavior. And do we actually believe that we choose what we wear, what we own, what we do, and what we say? Isn't it obvious that we are simply products ourselves of a consumer system where the only choice is credit or debit?

Credit or debit... Is there a difference or is this another illusion to make one feel as if they have a choice, but all the while one plunges deeper and deeper into a pit of debt and insecurity that there is no sign of escaping from?

But after all, that's our choice right?

2011 How to turn Weakness into Strength

Isn't it fascinating - the extent to which we as humans victimize ourselves to not have to take self-responsibility for our actions in this world?

I had a cool chat with Katie last week, in which we were discussing the fears I had in relation to going into people's homes and presenting them with the software that we are marketing. In my mind I was this weak, shy being who was afraid of people rejecting me. Katie reminded me that that was simply me accepting weakness within myself and that I could be effective if I would simply let go of the acceptance and no longer allow myself to act from that starting point. And those word supported me immensely in that moment to simply let go of the belief that I am a weak, damaged individual destined to struggle and fail at everything I do. And I hadn't, until then, realized the extent to which I have been accepting this weakness as 'a part of who I am'.

And we all do this, don't we? We accept that there are certain things about us that will never change and we in fact use these to justify and rationalize our behaviors. And all it does is compound our own guilt, because we know that deep down we can change, but that it will require effort and constant vigilance to not fall back into excuses and justification.

And even that temptation to fall back into old patterns, where does it come from? It seems to come from nowhere, and yet, it actually comes from ourselves through acceptance, and we bury it so deep that we actually forget that it was us, who in the beginning, accepted and allowed the weakness in the first place, and then we blame and project our weaknesses elsewhere and find all manner of excuses to excuse us from taking self-responsibility for our apparent weakness.

When I was young, 9 years old, my mother moved to another state with a new husband and left my brother and I with my father. I had a strong attachment to my mother then and to me it was the end of my life for her to leave me. And yet I made a decision in that moment to allow it to be a defining moment in my life - and from that moment on I made subsequent decisions in moments to use that one 'defining moment' to be the reason why I did or didn't do things. It was always 'because my mother abandoned me'. I didn't allow myself to realize that I was actually in that decision abandoning my self as the self-directive principle and creator of my own life.

Where do you do this in your own life? Where do you justify your behavior and feelings on past memories? Where do you blame external events for who you have become?

How often do we as humans justify world events by saying that its 'just the way things are' or 'humans will never change' or 'history repeats itself'. How fascinating that we are programmed at a young age to believe that history must repeat. Or is it that we simply accept this as a way to avoid self-responsibility?

We live in a system that is not only the end result of some long-ago made decision, but as the continuous, constant recreation of that decision to abdicate self-responsibility and to accept ourselves as less than ourselves actually, only a cog-wheel in a vast machine with no purpose other than to continue turning day after day. Will we ever realize what we are doing to ourselves? Perhaps that is an individual decision.

Perhaps this Earth is a testing ground - giving each the opportunity to decide for oneself, whether each will take self-responsibility in all ways as equals or to instead rather become literally nothing and to give up the opportunity for life.

Isn't it fascinating? Are we here as humans to achieve something, as we have led ourselves to believe? Or are we here to test ourselves? To see what we would do given the choice and freedom to become anything we desire? Will we look at ourselves with self-honesty or will we hide our own self-sabotage from ourselves in a continuous game of forgetfulness, even the end of which we deliberately allow ourselves to forget about until its too late?

Will we turn our greatest weakness, our every excuse, into our greatest strength and an opportunity for ourselves to realize who we truly are as Life?

2011 Is Everything Energy - or is Consciousness a Lie?

In the video titled “everything is energy” uploaded by youtube user awakening alchemist, the narrator makes the claim that it is a scientific fact that 99.99 percent of all matter is empty space and in fact an artifact of our consciousness. And therefore, he claims, that the material world is an illusion.

Firstly, there is no such thing as a scientific fact. All science is guesswork and opinion. In fact, there are few, if any, scientific principles which have not changed throughout the course of history. And it is quite arrogant actually, for anyone, scientists included to act as if they have a monopoly on the truth and facts, when by definition their entire profession is founded upon the principle that nothing can be proven, in fact.

Secondly, why is it that the scientist cannot see the obvious
common sense that what he perceives appears to be energy because he is using energy to perceive. It is a fallacy, in fact, to claim that one know anything about the physical reality, when one has deliberately separated oneself from the physical reality into a personal, compartmentalized bubble, called the mind.

It should not be surprising that when one belief oneself to be energy and thus exist only as energy that one would only perceive in terms of energy, that one would live only in terms of energy. To claim on this basis that everything is therefore energy is actually to refuse to see beyond oneself and beyond the illusion that one has created for oneself.

But beyond this obvious misuse of knowledge and apparent authority, when we look at the underlying message of the statement that ‘everything is energy’ - it becomes obvious that this statement is in fact a justification to actually ignore and neglect the physical reality of the world that we live in. If physical matter were indeed an illusion, then why would this world and the behavior of humans within be so predictable?

Why would we eat?

Why would we study information and go to work?

Isn’t it obvious that this line of argument, that ‘everything is energy’ is in fact an elitist argument and a justification for why some in this world should have the right to live in fantasy worlds where they have no cares and no concern for anything other than their own personal experience of themselves as energy? And if we take this argument to its logical conclusion, why should anyone believe in the existence of anything outside of themselves? Why should anyone care if others starve or suffer?

Isn’t this the argument that many make for why humans have the apparent right to abuse a d sacrifice animals in the name of the ‘human experience’, because they do not exist as ‘energy’ and consciousness’ in the same way the human does?

      It is thinking like this that has been at the root cause of all the actual physical problems in this world - the thinking that energy and consciousness are somehow prior to matter and that matter does not in fact exist and thus may be disregarded. But isn’t obvious by even a casual observation of the events happening daily in this world, that there are consequences to our physical actions? And that the more we ignore the physical reality that is actually here, for example the mistreatment of the poor and uneducated which leads to rioting and violence - the more we create physical consequences that will become increasingly difficult to deal with even for those in positions of advantage and comfort .

      To claim that everything is in fact energy is actually an excuse to abuse the physical reality that is here. It is the excuse of the drug addict who neglects his hygiene and the relationships in his life to get high. It is the excuse of the religious zealot who blows up a bus to secure an experience of heaven in the afterlife.

      Science has not found anything profound or of any value to the current human or world condition. It has simply reformulated the basic premise of human nature and its propensity for abuse into new vocabulary. Time to wake up and consider what is real in this world and what is the illusion.

2011 Lessons about Ourselves from Life in the Forest

The most recent episode of 'Life on Earth' that I watched was about the evolution of lifeforms in the forest. Here, David Attenborough discussed how life moved from the sea primarily onto the land.

Firstly the plant life, the algae that was floating in the sea, began to develop a more rigid stalk, thus allowing it to grow upright. The plants still had to remain near the sea, though, because they needed a way to reproduce, and because the plants were not mobile on land, they needed the water to transport their sex cells for reproduction.

Eventually the animals began spending more time near and on the land and the segmented animals, such as the shrimp and crabs developed into what we now know as spiders. The spiders developed a way to produce a sort of silk that they could use to lay traps on the ground for other land creatures to walk into, however as some of the other animals began to develop wings, the spiders, which had no wings, learned to set traps that were suspended in air to trap the flying insects.

Mr. Attenborough went on to show how the flying insects went on to develop sophisticated wing structures that allowed for some insects to be able to hover perfectly still, even while mating.

The thing, in all of this, that struck me the most, was again the point that all this 'evolution' and development of systems was for the sole purpose of survival. Anyways, that is how we interpret it. Perhaps it is simply nature expressing itself, yet even then, why is nature expressing itself in this way? Why does nature focus on creating more and more complex and advanced systems of organisms just to compete with each other for other types of organisms, which must then evolve as well to survive. There is this constant battle wherein each 'species' is looking to get an advantage over the others.

And yet again, there is still this balance. It is not until we look at humans do we really see a species that has actually dominated the others and 'outcompeted' everything, even to the point of now turning on itself and now we as humans compete with each other. And we even invent new systems that have relevance only to human life, where we can compete with each other even more.

And we, humans, even pride ourselves on our ability to compete - we use the fact that we have dominated the animals and plants of the earth as evidence of our superiority. But where has this really gotten us?

What are we competing against, really, but ourselves?

When I watch the nature documentaries, I seems to me that nature is just a blind program that has not ultimate purpose other than just to continue. And it seems to be the same for humans - I mean, what we call nature, is really just an expression of our nature as humans, isn't it?

We have lots of ideas about how the world works, or where we come from, but we never really ask why we are doing what we are doing. Sure there are loads of philosophy books asking the question, but the answers are always justifications for why things are the way they are - not an actual self-directive principle that we stand for.

We only observe the world and try to explain - instead of deciding who we are and then directing ourselves.

We claim that we are the apex of evolution, yet we can't even understand or predict how our own economic systems will move.

It's like we've created an experience for ourselves and tricked ourselves into believing that we are mere observers, even though we know damn well that we are directing the whole show.

It would be as if a director of a movie decided to play as an actor in the movie as well, and then when a tough call came about what to do, he forgot that he was the director, or perhaps deliberately denies it so that he can do what he wants as the actor and not have to take responsibility for his actions.

As in, oh well, its the director's responsibility to decide what does on in the movie, I am just an actor, all the while, having this attitude, knowing full well that no one will stop him, because he is, in fact, the director after all.

The book 1984 has a cool way of naming this: doublethink.

Its when you think to completely contradictory things yet accept them both - knowing full well what you are doing, but also denying to yourself what you are doing at the same time.

Like when we make documentaries about 'nature' and claim that animals have no sense of morality or purpose - and yet Humans, at then end of the day are the most brutal, least caring, immoral, irresponsible animals on the planet.

And yet, we are the one's making the documentaries - as if to trick ourselves into believing our own lies. Are we out of control? Are we unwilling to stop and thus something must be done to stop this madness of humanity once and for all? Are we, perhaps, trying to trap ourselves in our own lies? Is that what this 'planned net' is for?

I believe that we can do it 1 of 2 ways - we can either keep pretending that we don't know what we are doing and thus continue down that rabbit hole until we hit the bottom - but realize we are creating this. Is it coincidence that we wrote the book of revelation and creep closer to its realization every day?

Is it?

Can't we write a new script?

It is undeniable that we are the directors and the actors - we can't have it both ways and yet only take responsibility for each role only part of the time.

It is time that we stop the lies - become honest with ourselves - and stop the blind programs that we have accepted for so long that we are using to lead ourselves to our own demise.

2011 Life at the bottom of the Ocean

I watched a fascinating documentary series called 'Life on Earth' yesterday, and this episode in particuilar was about many of the different lifeforms at the bottom of the ocean.

What was particularly intriguing was how many of the forms were variations of a common design principle. For example many of the molluscs, or shelled animals, were derived from flat worms that over time 'evolved' to be able to secrete minerals around themselves to form a protective layer, which we call a shell.

Another evolution in the design of these lifeforms came when they began to segment themselves into different compartments which meant that they could now form specialized tools, such as arms, eyes, and fins.

And the film showed how these creatures interact with and live with each other, the systems they developed to survive, and basically the interplay between the various types of organisms. And what struck me the most was the simplicity of the lives of these creatures - just floating around eating and procreating.

And then I realized that the human is indeed no more advanced. Everything we do with our lives is in essence related to individual survival or at least survival of one's DNA through producing offspring. And at the end of the day, our lives have no more meaning than a game of survival. And that is in essence what we have become, that is what we have turned Life into.

And perhaps there is more to this physical reality than merely surviving. I mean, I noticed also how these animals in the sea lived in a sort of balance with each other - no one species dominating the others really, and yet at the same time, is that all there is? Balance?

Because balance implies that there is a fine line one has to walk and that living is then about the survival of the 'balance'. But is that all Life is? Isn't balance just a game as well?

These interesting creatures of the sea were still existing within game of survival, yet just in more balanced way than humans do at the moment.

Balance is nothing more than another program - boring and pointless, and a chore, isn't it?

But what if we could do so much more as a reality - obviously this would imply that we don't take advantage of each other, because then we would simply recreate another system of survival and competition. What if, instead, we each individually took responsibility for all of creation and made sure that in each moment, we considered the impact of our actions on everything - and as long as we had this consideration, we could explore the real possibilities of the reality.

Perhaps that's what we are here to understand - that we make of reality what we accept of ourselves. And if we accept that we are nothing more than programs designed to become more and more complex just to keep on existing - well that is a rather limited existence.

I believe that we could do something different if we would accept something different of ourselves - if we would realize that what we accept as reality is what we become. We will have to stop justifying the current system as 'the way things just are' and consider another way of doing things.

2011 Hypnosis, the Subconcious, and Accepted Limitation

In studying sales techniques and how to use words in a way to persuade and influence people I came across a video about hypnosis. One exercise in the video has you make a pendulum out of a weight and string, one small enough to hold in your hand. You are then instructed to hold the string in one hand with the pendulum hanging just above the outstretched palm of your other hand. Then the hypnotist begins telling you to move the pendulum with your thoughts, back and forth, back and forth, and sure enough the pendulum starts to move.

Then you stop the pendulum and he has you try again but tells you to think about the pendulum moving in a circle and to imagine it moving wider and wider and it does exactly that!
He then went on to explain that through thinking about the pendulum moving your body responds with tiny micro-movements to produce the movement in the pendulum. This is called a 'psychosomatic' response which is 'psycho=mind' and 'soma=body' - so your 'mind' is producing movement in your body.

I remembered back to a time when I had been interested in pendulums (over 6 years ago now) and using them to communicate with the universe - LOL

The hypnotist when on to talk about self-induced trance and how one can enter a trance of low brainwave activity and while in that state reprogram one's sub-conscious mind to, for example, stop smoking or to feel more confident.

And I realized that this is exactly what trance mediums and other channelers are doing - which is training themselves to enter trance and then programming themselves to speak words of love and wisdom - but then they get trapped in the feeling of being special and lost sight of the fact that they have indeed programmed themselves.

And obviously they do it for money and fame and whatever other reasons that makes them feel special and needed by others.

And the whole point of how this is used in sales is when realizes that we have all programmed ourselves through education, influences from our environment, and through our own participation in our lives - we have all programmed ourselves to seek out that which ensures our survival and which makes us feel good. And it is that fact that makes us open to manipulation through sales and advertising techniques. We cannot, in fact, blame the salesperson or the advertiser, because we are responsible for who and what we accept and allow ourselves to be - so when you see that McDonald’s commercial and you want the Big Mac, you cannot blame McDonald’s because they are only responding to what you have accepted and allowed yourself to exist as which is a desire to feel satisfied and to have a pleasurable experience and to have something quick and easy.

It is time that we stop blaming everything external to us and instead begin to take responsibility for what and who we have accepted and allowed ourselves to become.

2011 The Secret of the Law of Attraction

This month I studied the Law of Attraction.

I wanted to see what the 'Secret' was all about from the perspective that, if the elite apparently use it to make money - then perhaps I could do so as well. However my starting point would be to direct the money towards what is Best for All.

So I began reading and listening to the 'experts' - the ones with the insider information.

And what I understood from my research was that one should begin by defining their dream. Get a burning desire for it, and then focus on it as much as possible. And the feedback as to whether one is focusing on the right point or making the right decisions to achieve their dream is whether one 'feels good' or not.

So the practical application of the Law of Attraction is to 'feel good now' - feel good all the time, in every moment and to always strive to feel better - because, according to the theory, how one feels, determines the things that one attracts into one's life. Because the universe gives you experiences that are congruent with what you are vibrating.

Ok, so I thought, well, if this is what they are saying then perhaps I should try it.

But I ran into an interesting problem. I couldn't make myself feel good. Every time I tried, I realized that I was just faking it. I tried to focus on cars that I used to like and on things that I would like to own. But nothing happened. I just don't get excited about those things anymore. And when I started to investigate why this was the case, I began to question why I had ever even placed value on things like nice cars in the first place.

And I realized that the only reason I liked a specific car was because I had seen particular advertisements in the past which had pictures of the car and other symbols such as beautiful women or status, etc which generated a feeling inside of myself and then I associated that particular car with those feelings. The feelings of being special or happy or successful, etc.

And then I realized the real Secret - the real Secret that the elite use.

Step 1: Convince someone to always follow their good feelings. (most people do not require any convincing)

Step 2: Offer something that promises to give the things that makes the person feel good.

Step 3: Make the person feel good by having them imagine themselves with the things that make them feel good.

Step 4: Remind them to listen to and follow their good feelings.

That's it - if you can make someone feel good, they will do what you ask. The elite are simply willing to lie in everyone's face and pretend that what they have to offer will actually make you a better human being.

The Secret of the Law of Attraction is to use words and pictures to create a point attraction that generates good feelings in others - and then when you have them at the right point, you ask for their money. Because when you ask for someone's money you are asking for their security. You have to give them some security first so that they don't feel insecure about giving up their money.

The problem is - good feelings are not real security - money is!!!

Otherwise why wouldn't everyone just use the law of attraction to feel good and not even care about money. Because the elite realize that Money is the only thing of value in this world (according to what everyone accepts) and yet they convince everyone else that 'feeling good' is the solution.

Well, it's hard to feel good when you don't have any money to eat.

The other problem I realized that I faced within applying the Law of Attraction is that if I use positive motivation to motivate myself to do things, then I become dependent on the positive motivation.

Which is obviously why charities exist - people donate to charity to feel better about themselves. And its plain for anyone to see that charities are not solving the world's problems. Poverty, for example, and hunger are only becoming bigger problems.

And everyone is so addicted to positive feelings that no one is willing to follow through on the solution because after a while the energy runs out and then one runs off to find something else to feel good about. Sounds like most of our romantic relationships doesn't it?

Its fascinating when I look at how many people fall for the trap of Positive Thinking and the Law of Attraction and become lost in it.

And what is really fascinating is how I was able to see what was really going on. And I can say with full confidence that I was able to see due to my participation with Desteni over the past few years.

Being a part of the Desteni I Process has challenged me in ways I never would have considered otherwise, or at least not so readily. I was able to see what I was participating in, in terms of the Law of Attraction, while for most people, they would have blindly accepted the point and become lost, probably forever.

Since joining DIP, I have begun a process of developing sight into consequence and seeing that the decisions I make create consequences for myself. And though I do not always consider all the points, which then leads to a consequence that I did not 'intend' - instead of blaming everyone and everything else, I now take self-responsibility for what I created through participation in thoughts and feelings. This way, I am able to forgive myself for what I have accepted and allowed and thus not repeat the same point over and over.

And I have realized, most importantly, that if we are to sort out this world once and for all, we are going to have to walk through the bad times and breathe each step of the way - there aren't going to be any more good feelings to guide us - because we've been doing that since the beginning of time and look where that's got us. We will have to actually trust ourselves, because we realize that good feelings are really just programs that we have accepted which were deliberately designed to lead us to a consequence that is not Best for All.

If you want the things in your world to change, you have to change the things in your world.

Those who live their dreams, the super-wealthy, the super-elite, don't want you to know this. Because they believe firstly that you can't handle the responsibility, and secondly they realize that if you know how to change your world, they can't have what they want. Because who is going to make all those corporate jets, and work in the factories, and drive the limos, if we could all get the things we want.

In fact, mathematically, we can't all have the things we want if the things we all want as individuals are in opposition or are not the same.

Now, that's not something new, but here is the key:
if you want to change the things in your world, you have to change yourself.

This is because there is no actual separation between the external world and you.
The external world is simply a reflection of who we are collectively. The super-elite are simply in a position where they understand this and control reality to the degree that they are able to keep the average person dumbed-down to such a point that they will not realize that we all-together, create this world. But if you give up your self-responsibility as a co-creator of reality, then those who know better will use that power for themselves.

You must forgive yourself for accepting and allowing yourself to believe and place yourself as a victim within reality and within your own life. And you must forgive yourself for believing that there is a God who has a plan, because that God is the same God who placed you in the position you are in and placed the elite in their position. This is not a God who cares about you. This God is a machine who's only purpose is to continue its own survival.

Sounds familiar huh?

Because again, if we all accept as our starting point that our only purpose is to survive, then that is our collective agreement and thus we create and participate within a system that reflects that basic starting point principle to us.

If you want to change this, you will have to change. You will have to forgive yourself for accepting and allowing yourself to believe that Life is Survival.

And you will have to correct your starting point and change yourself to a being who cares about others and whose nature is not to take, take, take (which is only done from the starting point of belief in lacking something/needing something to survive) to a nature of giving to each as you would like to receive.

Imagine, if we each changed our starting point to one of Giving to All Equally and we knew how to make our dreams/wishes come true. This reality would be Heaven-on-Earth, wouldn't it?

But if we continue as we are, unchanged, and wanting only for ourselves, and we all learn how to manifest our desires, then we would live in a world of complete competition, and thus the government would be necessary to protect us from each other and ourselves. And that is where we are heading. Because the system wants to survive and it knows that as we gain access to previously hidden elite knowledge and start to manifest the true nature of our desires, we will fuck up this world completely and destroy the system and ourselves (Hell-on-Earth).

So the system will make efforts to control every aspect of our lives.

Is that the life you want?

Because that is the life you are living and this is the consequence of believing Life is only about your survival.

1. Experience Living and Principled Living (the whole series)

This video opened my eyes to beginning to understand what it means to live by a principle
in contrast to living according to one's experience only. I started to see how through living by
experience, one will not stand within a point and will instead make decisions based not in the
best interest of all, but only according to one's pre-programmed desires and beliefs.
But when one stand by a principle, then one Stands absolutely and nothing can cause one to waver
but nothing that one experiences is relevant from the perspective that one's feelings or emotions
and thoughts are no longer relevant feedback, but only whether one is living by one's principle and
doing what mathematically accumulates in what is Best for All.
VERY POWERFUL STUFF !!!

2. Adolf Hitler 1 from the AFTERLIFE: DESTENI

Here, the perspectives shared assisted me greatly, but even more so, what I found was that I had
to in the moment of first watching this video, forgive myself for everything I had defined as Hitler
and what I had been taught and thus accepted as 'who Hitler was' and what he represented. So it was
not to excuse violence, but rather to allow myself to Hear what was being shared in that moment
of watching the video.

This was one of the most fascinating/entertaining series of videos that I have ever watched. Placing

that was relevant to what is happening Here on Earth.

been placed as video format. This interview gave perspective on how Heaven existed in relation
to Earth and how creation worked from a structural perspective.

sharing the secrets and answers, but how many of us really heard them?

Simplistically, I stand with and for Equal-Money and World-Equality because they are
Best for All.

A world, supported by a system that operates on the principle of Give to another
as you would like to receive; a world where each is given equal consideration, where
no one has power over another, where each is free to live and exist and express as Life
and not merely play a game called Survival just to continue existing - even if I never get to
experience this world for myself, I would like for future generations to be born into the world
that I would have liked to experience myself within and as.

Heaven-on-Earth would be a place where each recognize their Equality with the Physical.
Where we all move One and Equal with the Physical - whereas we currently exist in separation
and thus create unnecessary limitations and points of conflict - these would not exist in
Heaven-on-Earth. We could explore what the actual limitations to the Physical are (if any).

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to trust your neighbor?
Wouldn't it be nice to know that no matter where you are in this world you are taken care of
and if someone is in need, you will be able and willing to assist and support them?
Wouldn't it be nice if we weren't taught to compete with every other particle of existence,
but rather to live and learn together as Equals and to support each other as such?

An Equal-Money system is necessary to completely reeducate the human to a state where we
no longer compete for our survival and focus only on one point, which is obtaining money.
An Equal-Money system will relieve many of the stresses that are placed on the human
which cause us to do things we would rather not do, and to abuse when it is unnecessary.
An Equal-Money will change the collective nature from one of Evil to one of Real Love, which is
giving to each as we would like to receive.

Thus, an Equal-Money system is the path that we must walk as humans back to Equality and towards
Heaven-on-Earth.

2011 How did I find Desteni?

The first time I watched a Desteni video, which was the first time that I encountered Desteni was in late August of 2008. At the time I was at the end of long process of searching for something that would hold the key to happiness, LOL, and yet at the same time I was looking for an answer to why my experience of myself was the way it was - that is, difficult, not working, constant fear, conflict within myself and with others, and overall dissatisfaction with my ‘life’ thus far.

I had always been fascinated with philosophy growing up, and after going through an experience of depression as the result of breaking up with a girlfriend of 3 years, I started to search within philosophy and science to find an answer that would not only take me out of my depression by would be the answer for it permanently. Obviously at that time, I did not see that I was in fact creating and participating within my own experience of depression, thus everything I found within that starting point of not taking responsibility, I saw as some form of a savior.

Leading up to that point, I had also ‘become aware’ of my own mind, meaning I started reflecting on my memories and trying to place them into a story for myself that ‘explained’ why I was the way I was and why I experienced myself the way that I did. But still, I was placing myself as a ‘victim’ within my reality, as if I had no responsibility towards what I was experiencing and creating.

Another point that put my ‘search’ into motion was when I began really looking at what it meant to die. What I could figure at that point was that nothing happened, and that I would simply cease to exist. This thought terrified me and I became extremely depressed thinking about it, and simply put, I felt completely powerless. I did not want the ‘light to go out’ so to speak. I was terrified of that point, as it was completely unknown what it would be like. And it’s fascinating when I look back at it and see how I had defined myself according to my conscious experience only and nothing else.

So, then I began, what in retrospect I can see as my journey back to myself.

I didn’t want to end at death, and I didn’t want to become nothing and have no impact on this world, and thus I began looking for anything that would provide an answer that I could follow or apply. And from that point, it would be another 3 years before I would come across Desteni.

During that time, I read everything I could get my hands on that dealt with anything related to ‘the meaning of life’ or our ‘purpose in life’. Philosophy and science had some cool ideas, but their starting point was always that we could never know the answer, so ultimately it was unsatisfying for me, because I wanted an answer, not something just interesting to ponder on.

Another point to note here, is that at this time, not only had I been smoking marijuana, on an almost daily basis, but I was becoming more and more interested in other drugs such as LSD and mushrooms.

And obviously, at the same time, I was still going about my daily life, going to school, hanging out with friends, participating in reality, and yet slowly but surely withdrawing myself from that and participating more and more in my ideas of myself and in my thoughts. My favorite activity then, was to simply think about different ideas, and I prided myself on my ability to understand ‘new ideas’. LOL

So this was my starting point with which I began my search for an answer, although at the time I didn’t even consider my ‘starting point’ and that this in itself would determine the answer that I found.

So by the time I watched my first Desteni video, I had been through everything from, psychedelics (Leary, McKenna, Robert Anton Wilson), Vedanta, spiritualism (psychics, remote viewing, channeling), to Buddhism (traditional and new age such as Ken Wilber)... I experimented with meditation, visualization, muscle testing, pendulums, lucid dreaming... anything that made me feel more than what I actually was, anything that promised to make me happier, smarter, more advanced, and overall better. I mean, when I really look at it, I was searching for happiness and at the root of it, Money.

I experimented with music, but I was too afraid to go out into the ‘system’ and not at all confident that I would be accepted by the system and thus to become successful. So I made hundreds of recordings that amounted to nothing.

I realize that I am leaving out so much but in terms of my own inner process, I am simply highlighting the points where I had been deluding myself which all came crashing down when I watched my first Desteni video.

The one constant during this entire time, was my relationship with Katie, which if it had not been for her walking with me throughout this process, I would have probably ended up in a mental institution. Katie always made sure that the practical physical points were accounted for (housing, food, etc) and worked to provide for us, while I was on my own little happiness trip, though I did a little math tutoring for some income as well. I am grateful that Katie has been there with me from the beginning, and although I have forgive myself, I was for a time, ashamed at how I abused the support that she offered me as a point of stability, though it allowed me to become stable within myself and now I have learned a lot from her in terms of becoming practical within my world.

So to make a long story short, I was researching about reptilians one night and I came across a video of a young woman whom I initially assumed was channeling, LOL, and yet when I listened to what was being said, I was blown away. This person (the portal which I soon found out) was saying exactly what was going on in this world and placing all the things I had been reading and learning about into a context that was so obvious, yet, no one else was willing to admit. I mean, its like for example, there are hundreds of religions in this world, and all of them believe they are correct. Obviously they are not all correct, and if one simply step outside the belief in any one religion is is common sense that on one level, people are simply joining religions to be provided with answers to their fears. Thus on those grounds alone, religion in itself is invalidated, because we can see that it is simply people accepting an idea or belief in order to not face a fear.

It was this kind of common sense, which really cannot be argued with, because all one has to do it be honest with themself about what they are seeing in this world - it was this common sense approach to reality that I immediately knew, that what I was seeing within the Desteni videos and Desteni’s entire approach was radically different than anything else ‘out there’. And that night, I realized that there was no turning back, not because I ‘couldn’t’ but because I could no longer claim that I ‘didn’t know better’. It was all on me now. And I knew that what I did from that point on, could not be blamed on anything else or anyone else, and that my life, my experience, my reality, it was about me, and who I am , and what am I going to do with the time I have been given Here.

2011 Life Lessons learned on the Farm and Reflections on my Self Change

As I was feeding the animals this morning, of which we have 23 (2 cats, 2 rats, 2 dogs, and 16 big goldfish and 1 little one in our pond), I was reflecting on how I have changed since visiting the Desteni Farm over a year ago.

Something as simple as feeding the animals would, in the past, have seemed like a chore and a bore and a burden, but now I don't see it that way. Now, this is not to say that I have gone to the opposite polarity and see myself now as performing some holy, spiritual task as the savior of the animals. No, it is simply the fact that I am Here, and I have accepted responsibility for the animals here, and so I feed them when I wake up. I admit, though. that I do enjoy it a bit, LOL, but it's really no big thing.

And that is one point where I have proven change within myself and my world, which is that many things that before seemed to be a 'big deal' like taking out the trash, doing yard work, going to work, washing dishes, the simple everyday things that if not done accumulate into a 'Big Mess' - I don't make a big deal about it anymore, and I simply do what needs to be done.

When I was at the farm, I was not yet at that point, but being there, assisted me to see the value in simply doing, in Common Sense, what is Best for All in each moment. So if the cat needs to be fed, one simply do it, for example, no thoughts or feelings necessary. In fact, when you stop all that background crap, Life, just simply living, becomes more enjoyable. It's fascinating, because before, and I mean years ago, I used to take drugs, drink alcohol, and have sex/watch porn, to make 'Life' more enjoyable, but that kind of enjoyment is fleeting and is actually work in itself as one must continuously strive to either find money to pay for the activities or to get more and more, because the effects of drugs for example, well, one become desensitized to it and must take more to get the same feeling.

But, when I simply breathe, and do the ordinary tasks that must be done, without thought or feeling about it, Life itself becomes the only thing one need - not something else to make Life more than what it is.

Now, to be self-honest, I realize that for many in this reality, they do not have the luxury of support and comfort that I have through my position and ability to make and use money, thus I do not delude myself into believing that I have found the key to happiness, or some bullshit - because I have dedicated myself to bringing about a world that is IN FACT Best for ALL - not just me, and yet at the same time, I have found that by stopping the thoughts and feelings, and just breathing, it makes the things that must be done to achieve my goal, 'easier to do' from the perspective that I do not experience the conflict and de-motivation to the degree that it stops me from being effective. And yet each day I find that I can become more effective in each moment, as I go deeper within myself and uncover the hidden points that are revealed as I stop the thoughts and feelings that are most obvious at the surface.

Being at the farm taught me a lot of things, but I can see that it had an impact on me at other 'levels' if you will, more at the core of my being not just in the sense of 'teaching me things' but it assisted me to really change, not just see ways of changing, but to actually change. I can't explain how this occurs, but I can see the physical effects in terms of how I participate in reality and with others.

The point that struck me most and still sticks with me to this day was the people at the farm. I am grateful to each and everyone who was there while I was, because I can see how each assisted me to face different points within myself. I enjoyed being around all the animals as well, and that has assisted me to change my starting point within supporting animals where I live here now.

The one thing I was tell people about my experience at the Desteni Farm, when they ask what it was like, is that I met the most incredible people that I have ever known. It's funny because I am crying as I write this, and I did not expect that would happen, LOL, but the people working at the Desteni Farm are the most self-less, practical people that I have ever met. Although I had watched over a thousand Desteni videos by the time I visited the farm, I had not yet had any direct, in person experience with anyone 'behind the scenes'. I did not realize that there could exist people who actually put aside their egos, and in each and every moment consider what is Best for All - whether it is how to implement an Equal Money System so that we can stop poverty, child abuse, and war once and for all or something as simple as everyone coming outside to bring in all the groceries bought to feed the 20 plus people that were staying there.

Although I am equally grateful to each and every person and animal and plant at the farm, I was the most 'impressed' (not in the sense of exaltation, but in the sense of having an impact on me) by being around Bernard. Because there are people out there, on the internet, who would like to claim all sorts of things about Bernard, that he is a cult leader, and a tyrant, and evil, etc, which is so laughable, because being around him, I can honestly, and self-honestly, say that I have never met a human being so dedicated to What is Best for All, ever in my Life. He is not someone to be worshiped from that perspective but rather to be seen as an Example. I really never imagined that it was possible for a human being to show such humility while at the same time such authority and directiveness. Bernard always emphasized to us that the only thing he hates is slaves. And I, self-honestly, had gone to the farm hoping Bernard would 'cure' me of my ego, LOL, but instead he simply showed me that I am the only one who can do that for myself and that he would rather meet me as an Equal than anything else.

And I know that there will be haters out there, who will love to have a field day with this, misinterpreting what I am saying, misconstruing it to imply some sort of love or submission or ass-kissing, but I really don't give a fuck, because unlike the haters, Destonians speak from their Hearts and not from their Minds. And thus they will never understand what I am saying as long as the believe that their limited, survival mode experience of themselves is all that Matters.

I would rather not imagine what would be the fate of this world had Desteni never taken the steps that they have, and yet it is necessary to consider, because that is the reality that we all face unless we actually change ourselves radically and fundamentally to the point that we no longer believe the delusion that there is some special, magical part of us that is separate, independent and more important that every other particle of existence.

One thing I have found though, which has been the greatest challenge since coming back to the States form the Farm in SA, was that no matter what lessons I learned at the Farm, I had to live those lessons myself. I still have to be Here in every moment and breathing and participating in what is Best for All - no one is going to do that for me. We all have this choice in every moment, even you reading this right now. You have to decide whether you are worth it.

2011 Transcending Sleep Addiction - 21 days to change a habit

For my end of May process update, I will write a little about some points that I have been applying and effective within.

Just as background, I noticed that in the past, I have had a tendency to want to make claims about what I am going to do, before I have actually proven myself effective within doing so, and the moment that anything comes up and I fall within the point, then I would feel ashamed and guilty because I am not living my words.

So to correct that point, I decided to instead decide the points I am going to walk, then walk them, and only after I am effective to give feedback. So this took a bit of Self-Honesty to first see that I had been doing this, but also Self-Forgiveness to stand up after having fallen and then wanting to continue hiding.

So obviously I have been blogging for the past 2 months, and not only on this blog, but also on the new Equal Money Research blog that I contribute to along with Katie.

But what I would like to talk about is the process I have been walking through within waking up in the morning. I have written about this point several times on this blog and even made vlogs about it as well, but always from the perspective of not only talking before walking, but placing myself as the victim within not being able to get up at a reasonable time in the mornings.

By sleeping 9+ hours most days, I was not able to get things done, and I also noticed that when I would wake up at 10 or 11 am, I would be very much consumed by my own thoughts, feeling guilty, and overall lethargic. I would generally have to rush to get on my clothing and immediately leave for work.

What I have done, though, is direct myself to the moment I wake up in the morning, I get out of bed. I do not listen to my thoughts, and believe me, they are screaming at me to go back to sleep, LOL. Typically though my thoughts are like little suggestions or justifications as to why I should go back to sleep or why I need more sleep or how I might be tired. But I have learned that the consequence of oversleeping is not worth it.

One point that I have used to support myself within this (which I have been walking for over a month now) is to each night before going to bed, I place on my calendar the four or five most important things I must do, I place what time I will wake up, and I also already have appointments on the calendar for work as well. Thus I generally try to fill every moment of the day that I won’t be asleep, with something productive to do, such as rating Desteni/Desteni member videos, blogging, Structural Resonance Alignment work, or other work related points. I place reminders to myself, as memos, if I need to call someone or just make a quick errand.

I allow myself to readjust my schedule during the day of, because things come up and therefore I might have to move some points to another day, but overall I have found this to be effective in being able to ‘answer’ my thoughts with common sense. For example, when I wake up and its only 5:30 (when I normally, ‘naturally’ wake up now at 6am) thoughts will come up that its still dark, therefore it won’t hurt to sleep for a little more, but then, because I am aware of what I must do the next day, I realize that i can get more done with more awake time, and that in any case, when I go back to sleep in these situations, I tend to wake up more ‘groggy’ and I am less effective during the day.

I have also noticed that by not allowing myself to give into excuses in the morning of going back to sleep, I support myself to not give in to excuses throughout my day. For example, when I see a lot of dust on the floor, now, I simply get the broom and sweep it up. If I see something that needs to be done, and I have time, I just do it. No excuses.

I also ‘feel’ better about myself from the perspective that because I am supporting myself to not oversleep, I get more done and I am now walking one and equal with the group in terms of blogging, vlogging, rating, and overall participation within the points that one must walk if one is to participate effectively in Desteni and actually contribute to the accumulative, one plus one, actions that will inevitably accumulate in what is Best for All.

So this has been a cool point for me to push through, and I am glad to share it with you, and I suggest that you consider, if you have difficulty with the point of oversleeping, that you support yourself through creating a calendar (I use my google calendar on my gmail account) - and place each next day in writing so that you are not only accountable to yourself, but you also are aware of the points you must get done the next day and support yourself through the backchat of making excuses in the morning.

I have to admit, that it was extremely tough in the morning, but I realized that even in those moments where I felt horrible and just wanted to go back to sleep, that I could not allow how I felt to determine what I would do or Who I am. Thus do not listen to your thoughts, don’t take shit from yourself, make a plan, and work your plan.

Do it for 21 days and you will find success is well within reach.

2011 What is the difference between Honesty and Self-Honesty?

The way I have defined and lived the word ‘Honesty’ in my life is as follows:

Honesty is when I ‘tell the truth’ - meaning, when I, as a child, broke a window in my parents’ house, and they asked me what happened, I was honest and told them exactly what happened as best I knew from my memory. That I broke it.

Or for example, when a high school girlfriend asked me to be honest with her, did I kiss another girl, and I said, “Yes, I kissed the other girl.”

Honesty is when one ‘do the right thing’ - meaning you say what you believe to be the truth.

The difficulty, though ‘lies’ in the point that honesty leaves open too much room for personal interpretation, meaning it therefore does not serve as a universal principle which will always accumulate in an outcome that is Best for All.

Consider that as a group, humanity cannot even agree on what truth is or what is true. Did god create the world? Was it aliens? Did we come from monkeys? What is the honest answer here?

The principle of Honesty is used and abused so much that it in essence has no value in support of Life whatsoever.

For example, if your grandmother works all day in the kitchen, preparing food for you, and when you taste it, it is not to your liking, and she asks you, “How is it?” What do you do? Do you tell the truth? Do you simply say that you like it, because you really are grateful, and it doesn’t really matter anyway what it tastes like? Do you lie to avoid hurting your grandmother’s feelings and self-confidence? Do you tell her the truth, but also tell her you are grateful? I mean, what is one to do? Honesty in itself, does not give one any practical guidance in such a situation.

What about when you’re at the grocery store (and this happened to me, by the way) - and a man, who is clearly not well, and hungry - what do you do when you see him slipping meat from the cooler into his backpack. He is not being violent, but when someone asks you if you saw him do it, do you tell the truth - which would perhaps send the man to jail, where he would only become more bitter, have a tainted record, be unable to get a job, and perhaps resort to even more violent crimes for money and food?

In these situations, and in most that I have been in, Honesty as a principle gives no real guidance as to what to do. It only seems to serve those who are clever enough to convince everyone else to be honest so that they can then take advantage of them.

I mean, really, how easy is it to say, “honestly...” and then follow that with a lie?

Can we agree that Honesty is not really an effective nor a practical principle to live by?

They say ‘Honesty is the best policy’ - LOL, this being one of the most deceptive statements, because it cause people to expect that as long as they ‘tell the truth’ everything will work out to their advantage. Well, that is not always the case. Just look at what happened to Jesus, if you want to see how that policy can go wrong.

Now, what to do? What is the solution?

Lee us consider Self-Honesty.

Self-Honesty is when one look at oneself - and looks to see what one is actually, really, physically participating in and supporting. Here, one use questions to go deep, deep, deep into oneself and not stop at any justification, excuse, belief, or idea. This is where one go past even truth as a belief, and get to the real core of oneself as who one really is and what one is living as.

For example, I used to record and play music. I enjoyed it, I wanted to do nothing but play and make music, and I wanted to be famous and make money, and use music to express myself and to find out who I really am, to let my ‘true self’ come through.

Well, at least that was my ‘honest’ reason for making music.

But when I realized that, even though I was being ‘honest and true to my feelings’ things were not working out, they only got worse, and I felt even more isolated and alienated from myself and others. Eventually it got so out of hand that I simply gave up and entered the longest depression of my life - over a year - where I did nothing except sit with my thoughts, cry, and constantly search for something to escape from reality.

The breakthrough came, though, when I discovered, through Desteni, Self-Honesty. I had to be brutally open to really looking at all my motivations for making music, for example. What I saw as I dug deep and peeled back the initial layers of reasons that I had, when I started to look past my conscious reasons for making music, I started seeing who I really was.

Ironically, I thought I had been using music as a means to find myself, which was my honest belief according to my conscious thoughts and desires, but what I found once I started looking in Self-Honesty, was that I had been using music to avoid my facing my self - to make myself more than who and what I really was and to escape from my insecurities.

It was through Self-Honesty that I saw what I was actually participating in and that I was in fact, through my participation, directly supporting everyone else in this world to attempt to escape from the mess we have created as humans and to avoid facing the real insecurity that plagues so many in this world without enough to eat or without a roof over their head.

Self-Honesty is fascinating in that, whereas Honesty is absolute and impractical, Self-Honesty is always able to applied to see where one is not supporting what is Best for All and to thus be Self-Honest about where and what one can change and what may take a process of first experiencing consequence in order to ‘motivate’ one to change.

What is also fascinating is that one cannot determine the Self-Honesty of another. Because as you may have started to see, Self-Honesty is something one actually Lives. It is not a statement that one just applies across all fields of experience with always the same outcome. Anyone can tell you that to say something that is false is a lie and therefore you should not do it - that is Honesty.

But no one, but yourself, can determine what you really care about, and whether you are actually living that caring or if it is just meaningless words. That is your Self-Honesty.

And if you aren’t living your life in a way that supports what you care about, what is stopping you? What limits are you accepting and how did you come to accept and live these limits? And if you had to live a billion years or even forever, would you be satisfied living as you are, as who you are, and within the world as it currently exists?

Again, Self-Honesty.

2011 Process Update - 1st week of May 2011

I've been really enjoying myself this past week - not from an energetic point per se, but from the perspective of being satisfied with my daily participation in my responsibilities.

I enjoy doing ratings in the morning, its a little monotonous, lol, but it's cool supporting everyone knowing that I am accumulating an actual effect that is best for all.

What do I mean by 'ratings' - well every morning, when I wake up (usually around 6:30 or 7am) I make myself a cup of coffee and sit down at my computer and rate every video made by either Desteni farm or Desteni members - and I place them on my facebook page as well. unfortunately I don't have time to watch them all (the rating process alone requires several hours) yet if even one person participates effectively in process due to my ratings and posting, then I am satisfied. Of course, I'll probably never know, but common sense, it will have an effect, LOL.

I would like to be able to post everyone's blogs to my facebook as well, but at the moment i don't see how to fit that into my schedule, so I simply place the most recent posts made, when I visit my own blog. (you can see the posts on the left - there is a running feed).

I only have 3 weeks left before I am finished with tutoring and then I will be going full time with the software sales. At the moment, Matti is really going for it, and I excited to get to join him and work together once June comes.

I haven't yet made much time for research for the Education book for Equal Money, however I plan to make time, starting in June, to do at least research, if not actual writing. Katie and I are working together on this point, and she will have more time this summer as well, as she won't be in school then.

One point I am enjoying thoroughly is participating in the Desteni I Process. I have been working with my first recruit, and although I did not actively 'recruit' the person myself, I did assist them in making the decision to blog for sponsorship. Blogging for sponsorship, is where one place blogs about themselves and their process in order to qualify for a 'sponsorship' which is like a scholarship to have their DIP course covered, at least until they have enough income from their own recruits to cover their fees, and then the sponsorship transfers to someone else who needs it. My recruit, Cliff, has really taken the point head on, and has already made his first blog post which can be found here at The Cliff Process.

Although I am currently finishing up my practical for SRA 2 which is the training course where one learn how to develop pie charts and mind constructs, I am also walking through the Introduction to Desteni course, in order to assist any buddies that I have when that time comes. Its really cool going back over the very basics.

I was looking the other day at the point of the Desteni I Process being absolutely, amazingly, brilliant from a certain perspective. What I find really cool about the whole thing, apart from the tools that one learn which have had an undeniable impact in my own life (I am more confident, more effective, and I have really developed some common sense - though I am still working on all of these points), is the simplicity yet power of the income aspect.

i mean, all one has to do, simplistically, is particpate in their own process, which means, becoming a more effective, less abusive, actual living Human Being - and to assist others in the process, and one can literally become a millionaire in only a few years time. I know that sounds 'unbelievable' - but what is truly unbelievable is that we would actually participate in anything less. This world economic system is downright insane. It is purely abusive and the only reason why it is accepted is because the majority of the world's population is brainwashed through religion and education to fear those who have money and to believe that they should not have a an equal right to money as the 'rich'. This leads to competition to secure at least a job where one can make enough money to survive, not at all taking into consideration what that being might actually enjoy doing with their Life, not at all taking into consideration the animals and plants as Equals on this Earth.

And yet, here is the Desteni I Process, where one can actually change themself and assist others to change, and to actively participate in bringing about an Equal Money System - all through the simply mathematical principle of accumulation.

With Desteni I process, there is no competition - in fact it only makes sense to work together and make sure that everyone is Equal to yourself in ability and effectiveness, because then all benefit.

I am just seriously blown away by the whole thing. I suggest you at least check it out if you haven't already.

well, ok that is my update for this week. There are a few other points i would like to talk about, but I am still walking through them and I will therefore report on them once I have proven to myself beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am actually standing within them. Not that I have any doubt now, but I think at least 21 days of consistent application is a good standard to 'show' that I am standing and have transcended the point.

2011 The Secret to Solving ANY Problem !

So I'd like to share something that I have realized and been successful within applying for myself. If you would like to understand to support yourself to solve any problem that comes up, keep reading!

So as you may or may not know, I have been a math and science tutor for the past 6 years or so. And in that time I have worked with over 50 students, from many different educational backgrounds. Some of the students I work with excel in school while others have dyslexia, ADD, and other learning difficulties that make reading and studying a challenge.

Now, what I have found is that regardless of the student's background, one challenge that is almost universal in academics is how to effectively solve problems that require one to not only have learned or memorized information, but also to, in a moment, understand a new, previously unseen problem, and then take the information that was studied and apply it to the new problem.

Some of the students I work with have difficulty learning the information in the first place, which is typically what I work with them most on. However once that task is accomplished, many still have a hard time performing on their exams, because when the teacher formulates problems that the student hasn't seen before, they have trouble figuring out how to best solve them.

And again, this is a challenge with all of the students I work with, not just the academically gifted ones.

Well, here is what I have learned...

The key to solving any problem is to ask the right questions.

Sounds simple right?

Well, actually it is, but what I have found is that many students do not know what the 'right' type of questions are. What I have found in my experiences tutoring is that oftentimes, students ask 'inappropriate' questions. For example, given a new type of chemistry problem, one student I work with will immediately ask "Why did they give us this information?"

Now, what is fascinating about such a question, is that there is really no relevant answer. The only answer is actually quite obvious: they gave us this information because it is necessary to solve the problem.

But even then, we are no closer to solving the problem. A more appropriate question might be "What is it that I am trying to solve for?" Here the student asks him or herself the question and then will immediately finds an answer gives them a direction.

What I would then ask myself (if I were the student), is what do I need most immediately to solve this problem? For example if one were trying to figure out how many seconds are in 20 years, one would start by asking "What do I need most directly?" The answer is how many days are in a year - to which we know the answer is 365. Then one would ask, "How many hours are in a day...then how many minutes in a hour... and then how many seconds in a minute..."

Now we simply answer each of these questions in reverse order - 60 seconds in a minute, times 60 minutes in an hour, times 24 hours in a day, times 365 days in a year, times 20 years.

And thus we have the answer which is about 630 million seconds in a year.

But the real point to take away from this example is that I simply started by asking myself the right question which in this case was, 'What do I need most immediately to solve this problem and then what do I need to find that" and so forth...

By the end of my line of questioning, I had already laid out a specific plan of action that simply had to be walked from beginning to end.

One fascinating point that I heard while at the Desteni farm was that one should ask good questions if one is to get real answers. Questions that start with 'Why' are typically inappropriate questions and one can even hear it when someone asks "WHY???" which really sounds like 'whining'.

I have found, especially when working with teenage students, that why questions are typically a form of whining and are the result, usually, of an emotional reaction to information. Unfortunately, our children are not supported in school to be effective in problem solving and often resort to learned emotional habits and patterns such as whining or complaining.

I do not accept these behaviors from my students and, although I do not 'chastise' them, I point out the behaviors so that the child can see what they are accepting and allowing of themselves. I have found that many times, the child is grateful for me pointing out the behavior, as they often don't realize they are doing it, which indicates that it is merely a habitual learned way of responding to one's environment.

In any case, I recommend that next time you are faced with a problem, to not allow yourself to place yourself as a victim to the problem and 'whyyyne' about it, but rather ask yourself the questions that will allow you to determine the specific steps necessary to solve the problem. That is often the most difficult part - it requires Self-Honesty - which once found, only requires to be walked as a solution.

2011 Process Update - End of April 2011

I just wanted to give a little update on what I've been up to this past few weeks, what my goals for the next couple of weeks are and just an overall update.

I've made a decision to finish out the school year tutoring with my students and to simply fill my schedule with as much tutoring as possible before the end of may. This way we will have a little income going into the summer, it frees up other people in the house to not have to work the menial type jobs and start going out doorknocking so we can get the software point moving more effectively.

Matti and I have been practicing our closes together and we are becoming more effective within that point which will assist when we need it.

I realized that I couldn't split myself between tutoring and the software sales because I didn't have enough time to do either effectively, but rather than simply stop tutoring and create consequences for myself, I decided to rather finish the school year with my students, so that we end our relationships on 'good terms' rather than me leaving them hanging right before finals.

Tutoring has been a great support for me so far because I have really had to face my own backchat when working with the students I assist. There have been so many points where I have had to deal with my emotional reactions, frustrations, and the student's emotions as well.

One point I have realized lately that applies to multiple contexts is that I can't allow myself to react to another reacting, because then no one is directing the situation to the best benefit of everyone. So when the student is 'having a bad day' I simply ignore it and act as if they want to be there, and what I have found is that this approach in itself usually assist the student to come out of their 'mood' - especially when the information starts making sense. Otherwise if I accept that they are in a 'bad mood' then I will fall into that same point and then it becomes a fight with the student and completely ineffective.

Tutoring has been cool as well, because I have proven to myself that I can take on a point and make myself extremely effective within it. All of my students have shown improvement, not only in their grades but in their approach to studying and learning. One student I work with, when I started with her, had a low C in her honors chemistry course and I've been working with her almost daily for about 2 months, and she just got back her most recent Chem test and received a 97%, the second highest grade in her class. And this is a student who when we first met, made it very clear that she believed she was more a language arts type person and not a 'math/science' person.

What I have realized with regard to that point is that defining oneself as a 'math/science' person or a 'language/literature' person is simply a limitation of vocabulary and a self-definition and at least with this student, I have shown that it can be overcome.

In terms of where I am placing myself for the next few weeks:

I have agreed, along with Katie, to convene on the education research section for the Equal Money book. Katie and I have talked about how we would create a new education system even from back when we first met 6 years ago, and now we are seeing that this is the point where we actually put into writing how that will actually come about, how it will work, and what it will imply. So we are looking at what would an education system in an Equal Money system look like, and what would be the most effective way to educate a child from birth to be effective and have the will and common sense to be able to see and do what is best for all in each moment.

For this purpose, I have set up 2 blogs: one directed towards educators and one (that I inherited from Anna BT) directed towards parents. The focus of the first will be to put into writing the ways and methods to get to a new system, what it will imply, etc, and the second blog will be for supporting parents to assist their children within being prepared to handle a new system. Once I am finished with tutoring for this school year, I will be devoting myself to the software business - door knocking, and promoting, getting leads, and doing presentations.

As much as I have enjoyed (sometimes) tutoring, I see that ultimately it is not going to allow me the income to place myself in a position that is best for all - the software company will do this by design, and now it is simply a matter of actually walking the point.

So my goal is to make at least 10 sales this summer on my own merit. I know that I can do it, and since I will not be tutoring to the same degree as I have been I will have the time to make this goal happen.

2011 NO Back Chat is of any value - a story about back chat.

Here I am looking at my experience of allowing backchat to have value within my relationships towards others and the effect that it has on my experience and ability to communicate with others.

For example, earlier today, I experienced an inner conflict while communicating with Katie about corrections on a contract she was working on for the business. Within my mind, I allowed myself to believe that she was 'agitated' and 'upset' with me and thus I started to feel a bit sick, not well, and I noticed that my face went into an expression of fear (lips pulled back, brow furrowed), and I spoke to her from the starting point that this fear was real. My back chat kicked in with thoughts that she was mad at me, and that our agreement was not 'working' and that we had better sort the point out or else there would be consequences - all simply outflows of the fear-based back chat.

And here, I was actually only looking at the situation within a starting point of self-interest. In that I was afraid of experiencing a consequence and thus I allowed the backchat to direct me, as the voice that could make sure the fear was not realized. But what I also noticed is that the fear only escalated, and my 'perception' that katie was upset only increased as I continued to speak from that starting point.

The point here is that the backchat is complete and utter bullshit. How could I have any clue as to what was really going on with Katie if I am actually only considering my own self-interest and thus not actually here, participating in reality directly?

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to listen to and be directed by my backchat.
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe the backchat as actually being best for me, when I now realize that the backchat is designed only in self-interest, and thus is not best for me because it does not consider what is best for all, thus cannot be considering what is actually best for me.
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to speak from the starting point of justifying/listening to my backchat.
When I have an experience of backchat, I will not allow myself to speak in justification/argument for my backchat.
I will simply breathe, forgive myself for the back chat, firstly, and then speak only once I am clear of the back chat.

2011 A Story about Money and Convenience

Today we did yard work at the house. We let the leaves pile up in the front yard to the point where they had become quite obvious from the street, so we decided that it was time to rake them up and place them in bags to be picked up on trash day.

i noticed, as i have in the past as well, that within myself I would have rather not done the work myself, but instead paid someone else to do it for us. I mean, that is basically what money is used for in this world, isnt it? to get another to do something you are either not willing or unable to do yourself?

But what about the person who we pay to do the stuff we dont want to do?

I recently bought an iPad 2 which is a pretty cool device, and although it is not necessarily worth the $700 US that i paid for it, i do enjoy using it for watching videos, surfing the web, and for the cool apps that one can download for it. Shelling out the $700 dollars, although it was 'difficult', was one thing, but what if I had to actually labor to produce the iPad myself.

Would I trade places with the factory worker who works 10 hours a day for less than 2 bucks ... A DAY !

No - and yet, i have no problem just slapping down the money which I worked for.

There are so many people in this world who are relegated to doing the shit that no one else wants to, and yet they have no alternative, because to exist in this world one needs money. There are those things which we are currently not each able to do, practically. For example, there are millions who because of where they live and with the limited access to resources, are not able to grow their own food. Also, because of the current education system, most of us would not know how to effectively grow our own food.

So going back to the original story, in that moment, when I considered that I would rather pay someone to do the work I was not willing to do (although I did end up doing it after all), - i was only able to even consider the point because the structure of the current money system is such that some do not have access to the same points as others and are therefore forced to do things they would not like to do just to get the things they need to survive.

Whereas there are many in this world, myself included, who have everything they need for survival and have money to spare for things that they would like but are not willing to actually directly labor to create.

So in essence we force others to do things for us through the control of money and access to resources. And, lets face it, who hasn't had a moment where they have said "fuck it, i'll just pay for this"

Well everyone who isn't on the 'positive' side of the money equation.

When I really look at it though, I would rather give up a few things that I would like, so that others may not have to do things they absolutely would rather not do (and that I would rather not do as well).

I mean, do we really need to take vacations to Hawaii - considering that 1 billion people (1 in every 6 people alive) live on less than 2 dollars a day? It must be rather strange for them - perhaps even impossible - to imagine that there are beings in this world who are just go places to enjoy themselves and relax in the sun and get drunk, and go shopping, just cuz they feel like it.

Its no surprise that we are seeing so many revolutions occurring throughout the world - People are getting fed up with the fact that a minority of beings on this planet deliberately abuse and take advantage of 99.999% of all the other beings (plants and animals included) on this planet. Just so they can have things they don't even really need.

If we would but consider that most of the terrible shit that goes on in this world, happens because of a lack of money, and that the money system is actually simply an agreement that we all support and accept - and that we could, through democratic means, agree to another system where everyone is supported equally, with no one being considered better than another - well that would be a completely different world then wouldn't it?

And it doesnt really take much imagination to see it does it? It doesnt require faith in some far off advanced technology, or some miracle that we have to place hope in. Though it does require that those of us who are currently alive decide that we are willing to give up our illusions of percieved comfort (which are really just manifestations of our inner and utter fear) and dedicate ourselves to bringing forth a solution as simple as agreeing to a system where each has equal money to survive and thrive in this reality as it currently exists and then we can have time to find out if another way of existing that is cooler and also supports everyone equally is possible.

I am 1 vote for an Equal Money System, and I suggest that if what I am saying here at all makes you think or even wonder why we are living the way we are when things could be different... perhaps you are ready to be a part of that change which you would like to see.

2011 Reinventing the wheel

It is amazing to me how in the past few years, how little common sense I have developed and how I still struggle to remain self honest. I realize that there is no point in judging myself, however I still can't help but notice how easily I allow myself to entertain not only my own fantasies and delusions, but my fears especially.

It has been a year since returning to America from the desteni farm, and virtually nothing has moved in terms of effectively establishing the software business that I have set out to establish. There have been multiple points where I had to start over within myself from the perspective of letting go of one approach and embracing a new one. The ironic thing is that we are now at the very beginning again.

When I was at the farm, Katie and I spent hours in discussion with Bernard about how to do this te right way, and while it made sense then, something went wrong when returned to America to get things rolling. And to be honest with myself, cant blame anyone but myself - not that blame is necessary per se, but at least in seeing where I have gone astray, I can bring myself back to a stable pratical point that can be applied.

Even more ironically perhaps, is the fact that over the past year, I have reached a point several times where I believed that I had to learn things on my own, and I completely ignored the advice that Bernard gave to us before leaving. He said to us, emphatically, "Do not rein vet the wheel"

And yet, in my ego centered universe, I believed that it could not be as simple as I was told, and thus I had to go on a little time loop for a year where I am now seeing that it is in fact unnecessary to reinvent the wheel after all.

This entire time I have been making things more difficult, not only for myself but for those who have agreed to walk this business with me. And even though I have not done so deliberately, I have misrepresented my own willingness to simply follow a plan to it's completion.

To be a little more specific, instead of simplistically going out and talking to people and engaging people directly, I allowed my fear to direct me and thus I believed that I had to find ways to cleverly advertise or to build connections with people which would in essence generate leads for me.

It is really so much more simple and yet our abililty to make this business work will depend directly on the participation of each one who chooses to participate, myself included.

I have allowed too much backchat, too many back doors, justifications and expectations that others should do what I have until this point been unwilling to do myself, which is to humble myself, get out there and follow the script and see the people who have a need for our software. It need not be more complicated than that. It doesn't have to be grandiose, and it doesn't have to be anything other than what it is.

I have also noticed that by believing that I have to do something more than the simplistic points that I make things more complicated in all areas of my life. I feel more pressure, and then I stop participation in the other points agreed to and said that I would participate within. I stopped working on my desteni I process assignments, I stopped supporting others through ratings, and through blogging and vlogging myself.

I allowed my ego to dictate my reality, by wanting to be great and amazing and successful and achieve something that would impress others, I have missed the simplicity and common sense that change in this world is not going to happen through some savior, and that the only person I can save is myself. And that if I base my own existence on the need prof confirmation and admiration from others, then I will ultimately end up as a hollow shell of a being, faking my way through life, having no real impact on this reality.

I don't want to use this space to make promises or to say things that I have not yet proven that I am able to live. However I do realize that while I cannot undo the mistakes I have made, I can move forward.

2011 How I have reacted to and defined Success

So, the past few days I have been pushing myself to work on several points in relation to my ideas and beliefs about myself in relation to business/work.

I was just looking at a post on facebook about 2 people who graduated from the same high school as me and i took a look at their website and saw that they were involved in a non-profit designed to assist small businesses. Reading the bios of the 2 people from my high school, I read that one was working on a PhD at Berkeley and an advisor at the white house, while the other was quite successful with a few companies he had worked for. As I read, I started to have thoughts that I am in comparison a complete failure - especially when I read that the 2 people had graduated after me in school. I saw them as more successful than me and that I am basically a failure and have been wasting my life.

What i realized is through these reactions that I had is that I am still defining myself in terms of the success of this world and according to the ideas of success that i have been taught and have accepted through my life.

At the same time I realized a sense of regret that I had not used my time thus far more effectively - so from one perspective, my comparison to the other people and belief that I am a failure is invalid because it is based on knowledge and information, and yet my regret is valid from the perspective that if I continue to allow myself to limit myself within my self-definitions as less than who I really am - then perhaps this life would be a waste. I do not want to leave this Earth without having made a real contribution towards what is best for all - while at the same time I realize that my idea of success is actually getting in my way of becoming truly effective as a real being living what is best for all - I am constantly striving for what I perceive to be the signs of success but then falling short and feeling bad about myself.

I feel like my experience at the moment is constantly one of a back and forth between confidence in what I am doing but yet not knowing what to do exactly and then basically failing at accomplishing anything and then I fall back into self-doubt.

I can see that this way of living is not effective and that there is something I am missing - I am just not getting it.

I can also see that in the context of the software business - I am constantly defeating myself because I can see what to do - but I am afraid that it will not be perfect and thus I end up not following through. I am in a way not allowing myself to make and thus fully learn from mistakes. Its as if I am trying to protect myself from completely failing by not completely trying - and in that I am actually failing, because nothing actually happens.

The thing is that I know that I am capable. And I know that the people I am living with are capable, and that if I simply let go of my fears and self-definitions/desires for 'success' - I can actually then do what is going to ultimately be effective and probably surpass any ideas of success that I ever had.

Its interesting when I look at 'successful' people - and I consider how I place so much value on being like them and placing them as superior to me - but in reality, they are just doing what they see as necessary to survive and to have that which everyone wants. They are not actually any 'better' than anyone else, just willing to do what is necessary to have that which they perceive as valuable.

I am not judging anyone from that perspective, though, just seeing that I place value on those who I see as successful as being better than me and others. But that is just because I want that feeling/belief of myself as special or better than.

And that is really what I have to look at - why would I want to be better than another? Is that really what I am after - or is it just something I have accepted without fully considering the implications. Wouldn't it be 'better' if everyone were Equal - participating in Life and Reality with each other as Equals, not wanting an advantage - but being an asset to each other Equally. Not having to deceive others in order to gain an advantage - but actually being able to share oneself with another and to stand in Reality without any need to hide?
